"Ice" Part 10
Title: "Ice"

Summary: Onew is water. Jonghyun is freezing air. Together they make ice. Everything changes when Onew meets Jonghyun.

A/N: Um, I really don't know what to say. o_o;;; Yeah, this part might leave you feeling confused. I'm sorry if I forgot to save you a spot. D;
Jinki was alone after when Joon and mother left. Joon left because... well, he did not say which made Jinki worry a bit because Joon was usually the one to tell him everything. In addition, his mother left because she had some errands to do. Leaving him nothing to do which made him bored and alone.
Ting~ Tong~~
The doorbell rang through his apartment. Jinki limped fast as he could to get to the door; he looked through the peephole and only saw a woman. He did not recognize her and thought it was one of his mother's friends so he opened the door.
"Are you Lee Jinki?" A woman in a white expensive trouser suit asked Jinki. Her hair was in tight ponytail with her bangs that fell right above her eyes. She was slightly taller than Jinki with the heels she wore.
Jinki merely nodded and was not sure what to do.
"May we come in?" The woman asked.
We? Jinki only noticed the woman and nobody else. Suddenly two men from opposite’s sides stood behind her. He widen his eyes, "S-sure."
He led (or limped) them towards into the living room and noticed the woman wasn't the type to chitchat nicely for a bit before getting to the point. "I'm Sooyoung," she gently smiled which made him smile. "My boys came here to say sorry for the other night," she said.
Jinki's throat became as if somebody held him in a choking position. He couldn't breathe when the instant thoughts that had happen a few days ago.
The two guards bowed and apologized to Jinki.
"We're sorry. We didn't mean to hurt you too much..." One of them said.
He was on a verge of breaking down and crying but he didn't. His vision blurred with tears and merely nodded.
"They requested if they could apologize to you. I have nothing to do with the events that had happen to you and I am sorry. However, I cannot tell you why my boys did such things. You know Kim Jonghyun?" Sooyoung asked, quickly changing the subject.
Jinki wiped one of tears that he did not notice that fell and pursed his lips and let out a little "yeah."
"It's best if you can stay away from him until I say so."
Jinki sniffed, "Eh? Why?"
"Let's just say there's a family feud going on and Jjong's apart of it," Sooyoung lightly placed her hand over Jinki's knee. "Make sure not to anger my brother by staying with Jonghyun for awhile. In addition, do not say that I was the one who told you, let keep this a secret. Okay?" She gently smiled.
"Who's your bother?" Jinki asked, confused.
"Somebody we both know. And somebody you're close with and somebody I'm not." She said as she got onto her feet. "I'll contact you after."
What is this some sort of riddle? "How will I know it's you?"
One of the guards handed Sooyoung something then she handed it to Jinki. "It's one of my old cell phones," she said while Jinki scanned it. "The only person that will call you through that phone is me." He noticed that the cell phone was one of the latest models that came out last month.
"You got hurt pretty bad," Sooyoung suddenly held Jinki's chin and observed his face. "Why didn't you go to the hospital?"
"...Jonghyun," Jinki whispered.
The men Jonghyun shoved into back of a black BMW with Sooyoung sitting next to him. One of the guards sat in the driver’s seat while the other one sat in the passenger. Jonghyun crossed his arms, obviously not fond of the situation he is in.
"Lee Jinki." she sighed, getting to the point.
The name caught Jonghyun off guard though he didn't seem to be surprised. Actually, it made his little dino heart skip a beat. When the name came out of Sooyoung's mouth, he knew something bad was going to happen. "What about him?" Jonghyun gnarled.
She took off her glasses and looked in other boy's eyes, "Please, stay away from him until I say so."
Jonghyun cringed he hated listening to Sooyoung. Whenever he did, a horrible event would take place. Therefore, he scoffed, "Why? You can't tell me what to do."
Jonghyun noticed how tense Sooyoung became. Sooyoung's jaw tensed and her fingers trembled. She closed her eyes and inhaled then exhaled. Sooyoung opened her eyes and met with Jonghyun's again. Her cold stone has been broken.
There was worry in her eyes and she pleaded. "Please, listen to me this one time." Her eyes slowly filled with tears, “I have a bad feeling something…” She sobbed, "Something bad will happen."
Jonghyun widen his eyes in surprise and wasn't sure what he was suppose to do. He bit he lower lip and went into a mini-panic mode. He looked around the vehicle and noted that the guards were keeping their heads ahead. Jonghyun used cautious as he lightly placed his hands over her.
Sooyoung had her head lowered so Jonghyun could not see her face. "Something already happened," she whispered.
"What?"
"My brother... and my mother.” Jonghyun didn't understand. What about them? "Stay away from them... Including Jinki."
"How can I? I go to school with two of them."
Jinki and Jonghyun weren’t sure what to think anymore. They both did not know what to do. Therefore, Jonghyun and Jinki stayed home on the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Great minds think alike, right?
Even though Jinki was not fully healed, he still went to school on Thursday. However, it was still quiet obvious that he was beaten up. The bruises on his face were still visible and his ankle was still weak making him limp to all his classes.
Normally when Jinki walked down the halls of his school nobody would ever notice him or even made eye contact. Then suddenly now everybody is staring at him and whispering roamed the halls everywhere he went.
Jonghyun leaned back on his chair that is on the balcony. He enjoyed the cool breeze that hit his body as he played his guitar. His phone started to vibrate in his pocket and groaned when he saw the caller ID, “Why are you calling me?” He answered his phone.
"Come to school."
"Why?"
Click!
"Fine then, asshole."
Jonghyun got up and stretched. He slowly got ready and then left for school.
Of course, Kibum had to make everything dramatic. "What the hell happened to you?!" He screeched causing everybody in the hallway to look at them.
Jinki winced, "I got--" What was he suppose to tell them? He couldn't spill out what had happen. It would only make them worry so he had to come up with something else. "I fell," he lied.
"Oh really? And I'm the queen of England. Now spill." Kibum huffed and crossed his arms.
Jinki avoided eye contact with his over dramatic friend and looked at Taemin who had a worried expression... it was almost hurt. "I-it's th-the truth!" Jinki stuttered, he looked back at Kibum. Then his eyes traveled over at Minho whose expression was hard to tell if he was hurt, angry or confused.
Brrrring~
Jonghyun made it on time for Math class, the only class he had with Jinki. He sat down in his desk where he normally sat and waited patiently for his lover.
He didn't show up.
Right after his Math class ended he went straight to Jinki's next class to see if he was actually at school. He zoomed out his classroom and spotted Jinki... limping? Since when there was so many people went to his school? It was impossible to catch up with Jinki, even though he was limping.
"Onew-hyung!"
Jonghyun saw Jinki stopped walking (err, limping)... To only see Jinki, walk again. Just when he was in reach, he grabbed Jinki's wrist and turned him around.
Brrring~
Jinki could see the hurt in Jonghyun's eyes. However, the younger boy did not look into his hyung's eyes and kept them glued to all the cuts and bruises.
"Who did this?" Jonghyun whispered, tracing over the cuts on Jinki's face. He winced, "N-nobody."
Jonghyun and Jinki stayed silent for a few minutes, which felt an eternity for Jinki. The older boy wrapped his arms around and pulled him into a hug, not knowing what else to do. Jonghyun buried his face in the crook of Jinki's neck and sobbed. Muffles of "I'm sorry" came from his mouth. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
"Let's... let's take a break," Jinki's voice quivered.
Jonghyun sniffled and looked at Jinki with a worried look, "WH-what?" Jinki repeated what he said and the dino still didn't understand, "We're doing just fine... good in fact!"
The older male bit his lower lip, "Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing, right?" He tried to give him a big toothy grin like he always does but it ended up being an awkward smile.
Jonghyun did not understand anything what was going on.
Jinki leaned towards Jonghyun for a kiss. It felt almost like their first kiss; his stomach turned and did many flips, it was full of unsure, passion and almost like their last kiss.
"I love you," Jinki whispered when they parted.
Jonghyun ran his fingers through the older boy's hair, "I love you too."
Jinki gave another kiss before leaving to class "It's nice to see you again Mr. Lee," the teacher said to Jinki when he walked into his class. He glanced at Jonghyun who looked broken and angered.
For the rest of the day Jinki had no problem avoiding Jonghyun. Well, maybe it was because he didn't see him.
When Jinki stepped onto his bus, something in Jinki's bag started ring... loudly. He quickly sat down in a free spot and tried to search for the ringing object. When he finally found it, he realised that it was the cell phone Sooyoung gave to him.
Sooyoung♥ flashed on the screen. "H-hello?" Jinki stuttered due to how nervous he was since this was the first call he received from her.
"You stepped into a pile of shit before you got on the bus," was the first thing Sooyoung said to him over the phone.
Jinki looked at the bottom of his shoe and groaned, "How did you know that?" Being the curious Jinki, he had to smell his shoe, which resulted him to gag.
"My men are watching you. Moreover, you are in big shit. What did I say? You have to stay away from Jonghyun until I say so." Jinki noticed how quickly Sooyoung could change the subject.
"I-I'm sorry."
"What did you guys say? My men didn't install mics yet."
"Uh, I just said we take a break."
"Did you tell him why?"
"No."
Jinki heard her sigh, "I'm sorry for making you do that. It's just... I really wish I could tell you why. I hope that soon you guys will be able to see each other again. I'm working on it. Fighting~!" With that said Jinki heard a click.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING KIM JONGHYUN?!" Kibum shouted at Jonghyun. He ignored the diva and proceeded what he was doing.
Jonghyun had Minho lying on the ground defenceless, sitting on top of him and held him from his shirt, "WHY DID YOU DO IT? HUH?" Anger was the only thing he felt; blood was rushing through his veins. "WHY CHOI MINHO?" Jonghyun was on the verge of tears. "SON OF PRESIDANT OF THE 'CHOI STUPID SOMETHING COMPANY'." Minho only remained silent. Which resulted Jonghyun's fist hitting him square in the face.
Kibum ran towards them and pushed Jonghyun off Minho. "What the fuck is wrong with you Jonghyun?" He helped his boyfriend up from the ground.
"You're boyfriend is a fuckin' asshole!" Jonghyun yelled, getting up from the parking lot pavement, dusting off the dirt off his pants.
"Fuck off! He didn't do anything."
"Is that why you wanted me to come to school?" Jonghyun stomped towards Minho ready to give him another sucker punch but Kibum stood in the way. "To… see Onew-hyung hurt?" He wiped off angry tears that had fallen.
Minho remained silent.
"Jonghyun... Just go home," Kibum told him.
"Shut up Key. Stop fighting Minho's battles, it's annoying."
Minho whispered something in Kibum's ear. Jonghyun couldn't hear but he knew it was something Kibum didn't like because it looked like he going to protest but then gave up. The diva gave the raptor a glare before striding off into his car.
Once Kibum was out of site, Minho finally spoke, "You honestly want to know?"
Jonghyun closed his eyes, irritated. He clenched his hand into a fist, he swear he was going to throw another punch at him. With still closed eyes, he inhaled then exhaled before speaking, "Of course I--mfffp."
A pair of full lips collided with his, making him stop in mid-sentence The raptor widen his eyes in surprise to only see Minho's eyes closed and lips on his. "What the shit!" He pushed away the man who was kissing him just seconds ago.
Minho smirked at the shock boy that stood in front of him. "It's because I love you."
