summary: junsu, a person with a split personality fights with himself to find out his true identity. along the way, he meets wooyoung who makes him feel confused about everything.

junsu looked at the piece of paper with an address his school's counsellor gave him recommending a place saying, "they know how to help people like you." junsu scoffed and crumpled the note then threw it across his bedroom, not caring where it landed. i don't need help, he thought.

junsu grabbed his sweater then he was out the door, he feet led him to an open field, he plopped onto the ground and rested his head on his forearm as he used the other hand to hold his cigarette. one puff after another, he started to feel more relaxed as he watched the colourful clouds slowly pass by as the sunset.

time is glitchy to junsu, sometimes it's laggy like one's computer. one moment he's playing video games online in his room, the next moment he's at school with his face in a text book. it's as if his brain shuts on and off randomly, when it's off; he's on auto-pilot mode and does what everybody expects him to do, and the opposite when it is on. "multi-personality", is what his teachers say, "two faced", is what his classmates say.

junsu has many friends because of his disorder, although it seems odd. he has different friends that like him at different times during the day. when he's on auto-pilot mode, he's friends with the "goodie goods", also known as, the straight A's students who seem to have everything perfect in their lives. then other times he's friends with the oppsite kind of people who are "the bad influence of today's society" as elderly people would say, who are pretty much kids who get into trouble with everything. but there is one person who have seemed to stick with him through the thick and thin since forever, and that is, junho.

junho is junsu's best friend, they've known each other for as long as they can remember. people called them the "jun bros", junsu think it's completely ridiculous. junho is the kind of person who follows junsu around like a stray puppy, who cleans up after junsu after he makes a mess, and somebody who is wiling to sacrifice anything to keep their friendship going because junsu is the only person close to him. junsu admits that he treats his friend like trash, he thinks it's all for fun and games, although he knows that he really can't live without junho because he's practical, helpful, smart and is always there for junsu.

"did you know if you think too much, you'll grow old faster?" a familiar laughter interrupted his thoughts. junsu doesn't need to see who it is when he already knows, how could he forget the voice of his best friend?

"only you would know," junsu replied with a sly grin, he glanced where junho had sat down and threw his pack of cigarettes at him.

junho caught them, swiftly taking one smoke out of the case, then placing it to his mouth and lighting it up. "what brings you out here?" junho asked as he exhaled the smoke, feeling calm.

junsu shrugged, "just felt like getting out of that stuffy house."

the other male hummed in response and fell onto his back staring at the sky with junsu. minutes had past and no words were exchanged, both stared at the sky as one star after another appeared.

"there's another rumor about you," junho said breaking the silence between them. "uh, people are saying that you're going to a mental hospital," he trailed off. "are you really going?"

"do you think i'm actually going?" junsu replied with a question.

"yeah. i mean, no. uh, i don't know." the other male sighed in defeat.

"do you think i should go?"

junho looked over at junsu who was still staring at the sky, "yeah," he mumbled.

"just 'cause you say i should doesn't mean i'm going," junsu chuckled. he sat up and grinned at junho who looked slightly embarrassed, he got up from the ground then helped his friend up. wrapping one arm around junho's shoulder he said, "let's go get a few drinks."

--

when junsu arrived home it was extremely late and his parents were waiting for him. junsu ignored them and marched to his room.

"stop right there," his father said, junsu halted then turned around to face him and waited for his father to continue. "what were you doing?"

"i was just hanging out with a couple of friends," junsu answered.

he crossed his arms and made eye contact with his son, "at this time of the night?"

junsu rolled his eyes. normally his parents wouldn't mind him staying out so late, in fact they wouldn't even notice him being out. so why are they being parents now?

"does it really matter?"

junsu's parents gaped at his response. after a few moments of silence, junsu turned around to head to his room when his mother suddenly said something,

"miss kang called today," she said.

junsu let out a sigh, "what did she say? that i need to go to that stupid mental hospital?" he paused to look at his parents shocked expressions. "yeah? thought so. well, i'm not going and i'm off to bed. goodnight." he walked away to his bedroom ignoring their protests.

--

"hey kid," an unfamiliar voice snapped junsu out of his thoughts. junsu looked over to the seat next to him where the voice came from, his eyes met with an extremely good looking person in a white jacket, from the looks of it, he's a doctor. are all the doctors here good looking? "what are you doing here?"

junsu was caught off guard with the question, he actually doesn't know why he's in the hospital's emergency waiting room. he glanced around the around and tried to figure out how the hell he got there in the first place, and why he's there alone. junsu looked back at the person in the white jacket who was sipping on coffee, not paying much attention to junsu.

"uh, i don't know," junsu said, feeling a bit embarrassed. the doctor gave him a skeptical look but didn't say anything.

both of them stayed silent until junsu broke the ice, "you're not a doctor, are you?" he asked noticing odd things about the other person.

the male in the white jacket took another sip from his hot beverage then licked his lips, "the e.r. has the best coffee." he stood up, "nice meeting you kid. whatever is wrong with you, i hope you get fixed soon," he turned around and walked away.

junsu was left feeling confused about the whole situation and had no idea what to think, say or do. he sat in the chair staring off in space again.
