Phew...this was a long one. But it was fun listening to them talk about random stories during the tour xD Haven't exactly finished watching this myself, but I'll be translating and watching at the same time~! Enjoy!
Alice Nine Channel July 9th 2014 Part I/III
00:00 - 24:20
T: Japannnnnnn! I'm back. This program is starting again. Everyone, it's being a while. We are back. And now that we are back, the room [not too sure] is different. I wonder why. They are remodeling the place. Because we spread the smell of stinky tofu, that's why we had to remodel the room. [refer to previous episode]
Staff: Since they're remodeling, they probably should have made it better.
T: Yeah. Since it's getting remodeling maybe more should have been done. There is nothing on the walls. I do wish you can paint it nicer. Anyway how is everyone? You guys seem fine. Since I got back, I felt so great that yesterday I drank too much, so today I barely have a voice left. I really can barely speak today…Sorry everyone. Anyway, these are this month's members. Please do a self-intro
Sh: Hello [in Korean] I'm Alice Nine's vocalist Shou!
Sa: Hello [in Chinese, on the phone] I'm Saga. Recently…I feel that i am appearing way too many times on niconico.
Sh: You often appear
T: You do appear often
Sa: I asked the manager as well, don't I appear way too often? And he replied "that's not true", but he is probably thinking the same thing.
Sh: Right after you told him, he started about it.
T: Today, Saga's clothes doesn't seem to show much effort.
Sa: Well I forgot I am supposed to appear today. But my shoes today...
T: Isn't it just about 500 yen [about US$5-6?]
Sa: It looks like it's just about 500 yen, but no. It actually costs 45,000 yen. [about US$450-500+, no idea whats the current currency rate lol]
Sh: Expensive! It's not adidas?
Sa: Not it's from Golden Goods.
Sh: Really?
T: they are not from Tokyo Kutsu Ryuutsu Center?
Sa: No it's not!
Sh: It's not from the Ryuutsu center.
T: Like those that don't even cost 2000yen, and is lined up outside the shop.
Sa: No it's not…
Sh: that's expensive…
T: Anyway, these are this month's members. We are safely back now.
Sh: Yes, we successfully completed 34 shows.
T: It's great. The first half, we were mostly in China. Then after, we went to Singapore, Malaysia…shall we look at the schedule? This was how our schedule was like:
T: (reads past schedule) If you look at the schedule, the difficult part was from Singapore to Malaysia, because they are right after the other.
T: Yes they are right beside each other…
Sh: They are but on the same day…I mean even within Japan, it's the distance between Miyagi prefecture and Aomori prefecture, and that distance is already difficult to cover. We ended up going there in plane.
T: Yes we flew there. We barely got any sleep.
Sh: yeah, for all of us.
T: The start of the live is pretty late. around 8pm? And by the time it ended, it's about 12am. And afterwards when we head out to eat, it will end around 2 to 3am. And to travel to Malaysia, we were supposed to wake up at 5am. Makes no sense at all.
Sh: 5am wake up time.
T: That was really the hardest part. Singapore…it's a really good place [T___T yeah!]
Sh: It is. Hard Rock hotel is a pretty internationally known hotel. There's the stage at the poolside. Before we start our live, before we even played out SE, there were fireworks.
T: Yeah.
Sh: Of course they were not for us
T: That was unrelated to us.
Sh: Those are unrelated, but it was pretty dramatic.
T: It's nice at the poolside. And recently, our background music is Michael Jackson. So we played Michael Jackson songs at the poolside. That was quite a show. It had been fun. Shall we look at a video?
(video, Singapore) [damn…kind of miss home T__T]
(video, Malaysia)
N: CANNOT TAKE IT~!
T: That's a comic video.
Sa: This is a broadcasting mistake
Sh: Was it a good idea to show that?
T: It was great at first…But at the end, Nao's [cannot take it]
Sa: Nao-san said weird stuff at the beginning and the end of the tour.
Sh: That was cannot take it. It means he couldn't stop himself.
T: Yeah, that's all he said. Only that. He can't hold himself back
Sh: Yeah. But indeed, he didn't hold himself back.
T: Even though we went around so much, it's unfortunate that we didn't manage to learn any chinese. The only thing we remembered was "wei". It means "hello" on the phone. We only learned that. I wished we had studied more.
Sh: That's true.
T: But as all of you have seen, it was a great crowd. In Singapore.
Sh: Yeah, it was amazing.
T: Malaysia as well. It was amazing. I was surprised that so many people knew about Alice nine.
Sh: Exactly! Where did they all come from? From the merlion? There were many people.
T: Yeah i was surprised. We saw the merlion. We did sightsee a little. Just around the merlion. Though our sightseeing was really the merlion at most.
Sh: It was small.
T: yeah, it was smaller than expected. And, if you take a photo of the merlion from behind, it will end up looking pretty R-rated.
Sh: (skipped)
T: We hope people will try it.
Sh: Yes, for the people going to Singapore.
T: If you look from behind, it looks R-rated. you can see various erotic parts. The parts that Saga-san seem to like.
Sa: It becomes the kind of shape I like to see.
Sh: I see
T: The shape you like.
T: So Singapore, Malaysia. Though I barely recalled anything from Malaysia.
Sh: The period of our stay was pretty short
Sa: It was short
Sh: At most a day.
T: I don't think it was even a day?
Sh: Around there.
T: yeah and the hotel…the unfortunate thing was that the hotel in Malaysia was the best hotel we had. I was surprised.
Sh: Yeah, it was a resort hotel. It even had a kitchen.
T: Yeah. It was the first time i saw a room with a kitchen.
Sh: And by the way, the room was bigger than the studio here.
T: It's bigger. It was really huge.
Sa: Nao-san was awful…
T: At what?
Sa: During the tour, I always roomed with Nao-san. He's awful…
Sh: Ah. What did he do?
Sa: He shaved his face too much. He doesn't have much hair. Not at all.
T: That happens often.
Sa: There's nothing there, but yet he was buzzing away for 20 minutes. We had to gather in the lobby in the afternoon around 11, no 12pm. He will start shaving at 1155am. Even though it was past time, he's still shaving. I realized for the first time, he's a major loser at home. [not sure]
Sh: Yeah lol. There are people like that [not sure]
Sa: The manager asked, "Saga-san, still not ready yet?", and I replied, "I'm waiting for Nao-san!" and when we finally came down, even I had to take the blame.
Sh: You were late because of his shaving.
Sa: He's awful…
T: Yeah…when it's 2 people in one room, it can be a problem. I'm with Hiroto-san. He's the kind of spends one hour in the shower.
Sh: He's washing a lot!
T: Why does he shower that long, it's not even a bath. Even without using the tub, he will spend an hour in it. So for instance, in the morning, the time we gather is set. So to get ready for that, we have to get cleaned up. I had to wait for Hiroto for the shower.
T: So usually we have to gather by 1 pm. So when Hiroto woke up around an hour before time, he'll quickly enter the shower, around 12pm. When he came out, it's already 12:55pm. I don't really have much time for myself…
Sa: That's awful.
Sh: It is.
T: I wish he'd leave at least 15 minutes for me. That was really troublesome.
Sh: Yeah…
Staff: What does he do in there?
T: I think it was (hair) treatment.
Sh: He's a girl?
T: Well i guess it's because his family owns a beauty salon. He's really fussy about his hair. He spends a lot of time just doing the treatment.
Sh: It's like in a shop.
T: Like Nao's face shaving
Sh: This is a display of my-pace people's actions
T: It might be interesting if we put Nao and Hiroto in the same room.
Sh: Ah that might be fun. It will be like Godzilla vs King Kong [not sure]
Sa: But Nao-san himself said, it might be impossible for him to be in the same room as Hiroto. I was thinking, you're no different.
Staff: (said something)
Sa: Maybe because he knows he's the same type of person? Both being my-pace people.
Sh: If they're in the same room, they might not come out.
Sa: But both are my-pace characters
T: Our rooms are really messy. with all the belongings we brought. I only have a single backpack, so my belongings don't scatter around much. But he has this huge luggage.
Sh: yeah his luggage became larger.
T: Yeah his luggage became larger. Even though the later half of the tour is shorter, his luggage is larger. So he will unpack all his stuff, all his treatment goods. His treatment items will be scattered around, and in addition, he has his laptop and guitar. He brought them all with him, even though it's 2 in one room.
Sh: Oh my lol
T: He even has his speakers, and he will blast music in there.
Sa: He does that. He has that remote controlled speaker. He's always playing something there. Even though he's sleeping.
T: When he walks he really looks like some yankee from the countryside. I mean, he has his speaker in his bag over here, and he will be playing music from there as he walks.
Sa: Or like this, yeah check it out~! Like some B-boy.
T: It's really interesting though. But i guess that is the real thrill of the tour. Though it's just for overseas tour, that there's 2 of us in one room.
Sh: yeah, in Japan…
T: In Japan we are all in individual rooms. Now that i think about it, if even in Japan we are not in separate rooms, things are gonna get tough.
Sa: Definitely, we will end up disbanding. Impossible. Usually, you'll think the members get along pretty well, but it's still better to keep certain things private.
T: But Shou is in a single room right?
Sh: Yeah, sorry about that.
Sa: I'm really curious what Shou does in his room. I mean our rooms are in chaos.
Sh: Chaos…well during tours, I sleep quite a lot.
Sa: Well, yeah as a vocalist, your body is your instrument.
Sh: If i caught a cold, we might be forced to stop the tour. So I'm pretty cautious.
T: I think there was once where I was rooming with Shou…I think I couldn't get used to the humidifiers in the room.
Sh: Ah sorry lol
T: It felt like I was in a tropical rainforest.. The humidity was high.
Sh: I feel better when the humidity is high enough for the blanket to get moist. So sorry about that.
T: So probably that will be impossible for me.
Sh: Sorry~
T: Saga and I…
Sa: Never happened.
T: If we were in the same room, probably nothing will be moving.
Sa: Yeah
Sh: Saga-kun is really a quiet person. We had been in the same room around twice. He's like a corpse. When we were in the same room, about 10 minutes after we checked in, Saga-kun will be lying straight on the bed like this.
Sa: Yeah. that's true…My switch will be off.
Sh: You can imagine someone [can't catch who] saying, isn't he pretty, doesn't he look like he might still be alive, like you are watch a deathbed scene.
Sa: The "controller" on my head will be lighting. [?] Ah I'm tired tired!!, it will say.
Sh: Like mobile suits
Sa: That is my "machine" resting in that fashion [?] [I'm guessing Saga is imagining himself to be a gundam?]
Sh: Yeah. because you barely make breathing sounds.
Sa: Because that controller is piloting.
Sh: But you are offline.
T: Sometimes we do wonder if you're still alive. In Singapore, in the dressing room, you were sleeping and you were not moving at all. It's scary to wonder if you're still alive.
Sa: Before i knew it, i might get cremated…got to be careful
T: Anyway, while having a lot fun, that was the end of our tour.
T: Ah Hong Kong! though at the start of the tour, the first day we already went to Hong Kong.
Sh: Right, before we head to Shenzhen, we made a transit through Hong Kong.
T: So we stayed there for a day. When we reached Hong Kong, we were already feeling a little nostalgic. Since after going to Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan in between. When we arrived at Hong Kong, I felt really nostalgic.
Sh: Yes, after a month.
T: Felt like i nearly forgot the taste of the star anise spice.
Sh: They use a lot of star anise. [for braising]
T: It is. We got used to it for a while. We gradually got used to the food there. Chinese food. We did have chinese food at Hong Kong.
Sh: We did. We went to a family-run shop.
T: Though with all of us gathered together, all we ordered was Demae Itcho. [food brand]
Sh: Yeah
T: I wonder why Demae Itcho was there. [actually it's everywhere in the world, and is one of the most popular brands in HK]
Sh: It's funny how there is Demae Itcho in the menus in the restaurants.
T: They are popular. It was the authentic Demae Itcho taste. I would like to go there again.
Sh: yeah. We received welcoming responses everywhere we went.
T: Then lastly, Korea. We had never been to Korea.
Sa: It was my first time.
T: I was surprised that Korea was so city-like.
Sh: yeah. It felt a lot like Tokyo.
T: Exactly, it didn't feel that different. It felt like we went to the rural areas. Though there were many people wearing caps.
Sh: There is quite a strong hip hop culture there.
T: The place where we stayed at was like a club. It was a really lively place. The shops there seemed to be open 24 hours. I'd like to go again.
Sh: Yes, we'd like to go again.
T: For the show in Korea, we had quite a number of fans from Japan coming as well. Though the people watching this show mostly have never seeing the musical Alice Nine before. You will come to our lives? We want you to come! We've put in effort! But it's great we came back without trouble.
T: Hmm what is it? Shall we move on to announcements? Right asia tour…ah the documentary. Like the ones we watched earlier? Actually, those will be released as a DVD. More details from Shou-kun.
Sh: (info on the DVD. will be released in fall 2014)
T: That's right. you can watch that "Cannot take it!" in it
T: (more info on anniversary live/event)
Sa: (details on anniversary live/event)
T: Well it's our 10th anniversary this year. It's been around 5 years since the start of this program.
Staff: exactly 5 years
T: We have been doing this program for 5 years now. So if you have seen this show but have not been to our shows, please come for this live.
T: In these 5 years, maybe none of you know this, I've been leaving my toothbrush here all the while. I wonder why no one threw it away. I had been waiting for someone to throw it away. It was in the building toilet. The toothbrush that I only used once had been left in that toilet for 5 years. it might end up being the show's giveaway present. The DVD as well, it looks very coo,l just like what you've seen earlier on.
Sh: And also the one man live in Singapore will also be included in that DVD. Please look forward to it!
T: Did they really go find that toothbrush? Is it really there?
Sh: Is it time for that?
T: It is. The opening was so long I almost forgot about this segment. Ahhh you see there1 It's that one.
Sh: Ahh there it is. The 5-year old, Tora's toothbrush.
T: Someone should have just thrown it away. Even if I only used it just once. I left it there for the longest time.
Sh: For 5 years, it looks pretty clean.
T: Because i only used it once.
Sa: But there are many Tora-bacteria in it.
T: Yeah i'm sure.
Sa: This as a present…
T: No one will want it, this dirty thing.
Sh: As a present.
Staff: And it looks pretty cheap
T: Yeah.
Sh: Looks like it's from some hotel.
T: We alice nine bring our toothbrush everywhere actually.
Sh: Everyone will brush their teeth before lives.
T: We are a band who takes care proper care of our teeth
Sh: Because our teeth is our lives.
T: Anyway, here goes. (read) Yo Alice nine! What's up lately? [skipping whatever BS the staff wrote lol. something about math i think] This year we will be doing the birthday specials on this as well as on the super alice nine channel for 5 episode straight starting from the idiot Hiroto. I see.
Sa: He's being called an idiot again
T: This month, our special will of course be for Shou-kun who has celebrated his 64th birthday on the last day of the tour! How old did Shou become? 64?
Sh: I'm a grandfather.
T: (read) Though we are a show that is particularly lenient towards Shou-kun. Hence we will be doing this extremely simple segment for his birthday special! The present is definitely Shou's! Sure to get them right. The All answers are "Shou" quiz!!
Sa: Oh i know this. The answers are simple but the process is terrible.
T: Because the answers are right in front of you. yes it was written here this was last year's Saga's birthday segment. A segment that is back again after one year [random translation]
T: (read) For the sake of our dearest Shou-kun, the staff has used our budget to get an awesome present for him, but if simply give away the present without any obstacles, that idiot Hiroto will start complaining [not too sure lol] Hence for our dearest Shou-kun, we have a push button for you. Once you obtained 100 points, we will give away the present. And of course, like the title mentioned, the answers are all "Shou". Though it's a "fast-fingers" push button, only Shou can push it. You only have to push that button and say "Shou" and at 11pm, the present will be Shou's. So let's quickly do a set change, we shall air the song that Shou wrote, also known as "Doupu". [because it's Sha-do-u-pu-re-i] Please have Shou do the song intro.
Sh: Alright, please listen to "Doupu"!
