I know it's friggin hot down in Sydney today, but I thought I would just point out how unreasonably disgustingly hot and humid it has been up here today... The heat itself isn't so much of a problem... I think it was in the mid to high 30s... But the 91% humidity by 9am (according to the BOM) is what really gets you. I am normally such a cold frog and LOVE the heat and humidity... But I tell you what... Not so comfy with an extra 10kg and 30% blood volume... Not to mention the little heat pack sitting in my belly... Thank goodness for the pool!! Our pool is the perfect depth that I can stand in it - the water just covers my belly and I can lean on the edge at a comfortable height and read a book. Think that will be pretty much all I will be doing for the next 3 weeks unless this heat eases off a bit!

Other than that, all going well.. No sign of Bub wanting to make a little bit of an early appearance... But things will happen when they are ready. I don't feel like I am at the 'totally over it' stage that lots of pregnant women seem to be at during the last month. I don't know if this is a sign that I will go a few weeks over, or just that I am lucky and not suffering too much! Apart from the usual aches and pains and shitty nights sleep, I seem to be faring pretty well compared to some of my friends who are around the same stage in their pregnancy. Fingers crossed I will be as lucky for the rest of the pregnancy (maybe this is my 'reward' for being so friggin ill during the first trimester??!)

On other exciting news, we are FINALLY getting out back patio re tiled.. Concrete slab has been poured and leveled up, tiles were delivered today and might even get laid over the next couple of days. Can't wait 'till it's all done. Then we can get our outdoor setting in there and have a nice usable area to enjoy! Anyone who's been to the house will know how manky that area was before.. I tell you what.. It's going to come up a treat! Once the tiling is done, we have to decide what colour to paint the beams and whether we're going to render and paint the walls (a bit of a contentious issue at the moment!!). Neither of us are very good with colour schemes.. So any input would be appreciated. We've got terracotta sandstone tiles going down. Currently the walls are a dark blonde brick... I was thinking that we should bag or render them and paint them a sandy/ tuscan yellow type colour. And perhaps paint the beams a rusty colour - to give the area a tuscan kinda feel.... But not sure.
