1st appt
V. exciting, but nothing really worth mentioning except we couldn't hear the heartbeat (Doppler). I'm 12 weeks tomorrow, but midwife Amy did notice that my uterus (nicely swollen) is tipped backwards a bit.
She said unless I wanted to know *today* and therefore have a sonogram, I could come back next week to try again, which I chose. She also didn't do my labs in case something was wrong (pretty doubtful). I did ask her to test my thyroid, though. She'll call if anything is wrong.
I don't have an exact pre-preg weight - I think it was 155. And I was only 157 today. :) At this birthing center you do your own urine dip and weigh yourself privately.
