Driving Range, deux

May 28, 2008 00:26

So today would've been another sweet day at home, minus the fact that a family (amy) bomb went off, and it has caused a lot of damage and I can only hope everything will be okay. I hope the debris won't be too difficult to clean up, but that is unlikely. I love my sister, I hope we're all gonna be okay.

That said, I can move on w/ my sweet day.
Went to the driving range (Farmer Brown's) in Farmingdale. I love Kozloski Road...it's sweet to drive on. It's where we used to go, and it is stil great. Two things to keep in mind for a straight shooting ball: stay down and roll over. Kind of like a dog! Yeah, so my ball kept going out the the right, but as I keep my right hang over my left, it straightens out. So I managed to not only hit the ball, but got it to fly nicely 70-100 yards in front of me!! It was super-exciting.
The plan was then to meet Erin for some chill time, but we needed to find a place b/t Rutgers and me, so mini golf was the plan for the extremely hot/humid day. Turns out, mini golf doesn't open until school lets out. LAME! So guess what we did...that's right, DRIVING RANGE AGAIN! Legends Golf is right there, so we split a medium bucket and it was quite fun. I was tired after that, for sure.
Then we got some ices from Ralph's.. another so Marlboro thing to do. It was sweet. Literally. I had Chocolate Chip Hazelnut... yes, I know you wish you had one too. :)

Came home, read The Pilgrim's Progress. Chris Peeps is reading that now supposedly, as Pete mentioned he was reading The Pilgrim's Regress, but that is by C.S. Lewis, and therefore written like 300 years after the book by.. John Bunyan is it?

Went to Barnes & Noble w/ mommy and got two books for the GRE. It was kind of oddly exciting. Then there are so many books I want to read/finish like the Lemon Tree, Tipping Point, Blink, the Bible, Problem of Pain, book from Pete...

and then had dinner, wanted to hang out w/ Meeshell, Schirripa and Neecoles, but that didn't pan out when I got a phone call from amy's friend.
That's when the bomb bombed again.

So now I'm trying to be faithful in praying earnestly for this.
Patience, too, would be great.
