Red is Gold's BRO, man. He's one of those few people that Gold genuinely respects and admires. Their work together against the Mask of Ice, and on Mt. Silver, and against Guile Hideout gave Gold a sense of closeness and understanding for Red, and he's now one of those people Gold really trusts in. Even though he's currently older than Red, Red is, well... Red's still his Senior, and the Senior he looks up to the most, at that.
Gold hated you at first, because you are an asshole who is creepy to Silver. But then you pull that Heroic Sacrifice crap, and you almost seemed like an alright guy to Gold. Like maybe you weren't as bad as the Archer in his world! But then you go and start with the crap you're pulling now, and Gold is right back to hating you. Dammit Archer. Stop being such an asshole.
Gold: Gold thinks Giovanni's a pretty cool dude. He's the kind of guy Gold wishes he had for a dad. You know, as opposed to no dad at all. But he doesn't want Silver's dad, because Silver's dad is Silver's dad, and he should be happy with him, and so Gold'll do whatever he can to make sure Silver and Giovanni get to be happy together, because there is a lot of awkward between them, and he has to be the bridge between them, he is cool with that. And he made the Game Corner which is a huge bonus.
