Hey guise, it's time for another modpost from that strange one!
Oh don't be like that I only want to talk events with you. 8|
As you may or may not know... I only mod PUD. However I'm also in charge, you could say, of events. If you have any ideas floating around in your head, albeit for one-shot events (( AKA those that only last for the duration of the entry they are in )), or longer, drop me a PM or AIM me on Cyanide Gashes and we'll talk. I'll listen to all suggestions.
Now, three points that I want to bring up.
Firstly, it's good to see that the Loveless event is proving to be a massive hit with all of you. Everywhere I have trolled lurked I have seen nothing but positivity and that makes me eight dee forever. 8D <--- Proof
That said, a shout-out to KP. I know how it feels to effectively run an event on your own (( Anyone still around from Soi's batshit rampage of last October? )) and it's no mean feat. But you've pulled it off way better than I could have. I'm glad I took a back seat and while I personally am not involved because I am a flake and also mod elsewhere I think I can vouch for everyone else when I say thanks for creating an epic.
Will we have crossover events in the future? Yes, considering the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's event from January was also a hit. However... maybe no more for this year. Call it not risking overkill.
Secondly, look out for a post I will do at the end of every month. It'll be your bog standard calendar post that will list all upcoming events and memes for the month ahead... a lot of other roleplaying communities do it, so why not PD?
Lastly, I got a PM yesterday from a user expressing desire for a parody musical event and to quote from said PM one "where we take current songs and parody them to be character/setting specific. Songwriting skill is optional but who cares as long as lulz are had?" Not gonna lie, the prospect of this has got me grinning with glee... HOWEVER. This is where you lot intervene.
Just because I am psyched for it doesn't mean that the rest of you would be. Not only that... nothing was elaborated on in terms of whether they want this event to be one-shot or not. At the current time of typing I am thinking two-shot, one entry to be done by ongoingsong and the other by Holo's Articuno, if she's okay with that. This is not concrete.
TL;DR; would you like this event in the future and if so, for how long?
