The shades were open fully, the noonday sun illuminating the room as Cyrus turned to face her. "Champion," he addressed. He had taken to switching between the two forms of address. "I trust you've noticed what's different today.
She blinked, momentarily blinded by the sun. "Ah, yes, I have; you're obviously free to move around now. It must be a nice change. Haven't forgotten how to walk, have you?" she teased.
"You realize that I was only cuffed when I would recieve visitors. I know you know this." But he was smiling, and even had a slight chuckle to his voice. "They decided this four days ago; that I was no danger to you or anybody. I'm rather surprised they didn't tell you."
He sat on the foot of the bed, tugging at his shirt. It was a normal t-shirt, as opposed to the hospital scrubs, although he still wore the scrubs on his lower body. "Have a seat. They let me read the newspaper today, you know." They usually didn't, thinking it would rile him too much.
"...oh yeah." she replied sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head, grinning. "I think they might have mentioned it when I walked in."
She sat down on the single chair, and crossed her legs, happily tapping her fingers against her knee. "You're looking wonderful!" she said, and she was being genuine. "And they've finally let you wear normal clothes! And even the newspaper...you've really improved, Cyrus."
