She blinked lifting her head from what had to be a goose down pillow and looked around his hut. Except it wasn't a hut, it was a... well, a cabin. She looked over her shoulder at Ned, confused, then back around, then she turned in his arms to press against him, because he was warm, too, and gave him a little shake.
"Hey," she said, scooting farther under the blanket until she was covered up to about the back of her head.

"Too early," he mumbled. "I'm a Nightwatchman. M'not good at mornings."

"...Hey, now...!" she mumbled, snapping the thick comforter back down over herself. "What 'n the hell-? Oh mah God," she said, looking past Ned to the window, that had glass in it.

"Well if that don't beat all," she murmured, eyes wide and sort of excited.
"Looks like it snowed two dang feet overnight. 'n our palm tree's gone."

"My uniform adjusts to temperature enough for me to trek to the compound 'n get us some winter stuff," she murmured. "Haven't seen snow in ages." She tipped her face up, smiling a little, and brushed their mouths together.
"Guess we're gonna spend a lotta time inside."
Reply
"Oh, gods," he said, in a deadpan voice. "What will we do?"
Reply
"But we are gonna have to have a snowball fight. 'n build a snowman. Ooh!" she said, with a small start, "an' go sleddin' if I can find something that'll work. I love snow," she added, a bit embarrassedly. "Well. 's long as I've got someplace warm t'curl up afterwards."
Reply
"We can do all that," he said. "We really can. But can we go back to bed right now?"
