Name: Archer
Age: 32
Hometown/Region: Saffron City, Kanto
Class: Team Rocket Executive
Team: See below~!

Houndoom
Moves: Nasty Plot, Overheat, Foul Play, Shadow Ball
Info: Archer's unofficial starter Pokemon. He was originally stolen from a kid when Archer was a Grunt working in Vermillion. Since then he was raised and evolved with quite a lot of love and care... which Archer makes sure never to show anyone. Houndoom is his most trusted Pokemon and will follow his commands without question. He's kind of a derp though, and loves headpats.
Crobat
Moves: Cross Poison, Fly, Confuse Ray, X-Scissor
Info: Archer's real starter Pokemon was a (in his words "useless") Zubat. Perfect for a rookie Team Rocket Grunt. Anyway, he managed to get it to evolve once and battled with Crobat in HG/SS, but it's evolved since then. Maybe it's because he stopped using it as just a source of transportation. Crobat adores Archer, but Archer's still not too fond of him.
Weavile
Moves: Ice Punch, Night Slash, Hone Claws, Shadow Claw
Info: Another one of Archer's stolen Pokemon. He acquired this Weavile very recently, but already she listens and follows his orders. It seems that her original trainer was a breeder of some sort, since the Sneasel evolutionary line doesn't learn Ice Punch.
Gengar
Moves: Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Hypnosis, Dream Eater
Info: Actually caught and raised by Archer, Gengar is a rather difficult Pokemon to manage. He likes to pull pranks and occasionally Archer will refer to him as "Petrel" in a sarcastic manner. He does like his Gengar though.
Drapion
Moves: Thunder Fang, Earthquake, Crunch, Poison Jab
Info: Another stolen Pokemon. This one seems to represent Team Rocket perfectly, type-wise at least. Archer's rather fond of the intimidating gigantic scorpion. Not that he'd ever let anyone know.
Nidoking
Moves: Megahorn, Earthquake, Poison Jab, Stone Edge
Info: You know what sucks about a Nidorino? Finding a Moon Stone. Archer caught one in the hopes of raising a Nidoking like Giovanni, but honestly, he's not all that great with Ground-types. He finally managed to get it to evolve, but still has difficulty controling it - even though he actually raised it instead of stealing it.

History:
Growing up in Saffron City was certainly something. Archer's parents were rather well off; his father a researcher at Silph Co. and his mother a successful lawyer for wrongful Pokemon-involved incidents. He grew up mostly alone, and was given a Zubat at the age of seven to keep him company. Archer did love that Zubat back then; back when it was his only companion as he explored the big city, making sure to stay away from the gates. His parents would sometimes take him to the surrounding cities - Celadon, Cerulean, Lavender, and Vermillion - but none of them were quite as great as Saffron. When he finally turned ten, Archer set off to go challenge the Pokemon League, just like every other young trainer.

Problem was, he wasn't really interested in battling Gyms and earning Badges for a chance to fight the best trainers in the land. None of that even remotely interested him. While he was travelling he ran into a member of Team Rocket - who also had a Zubat - and defeated him easily. The Grunt suggested that Archer check out Team Rocket. With nothing else to do, Archer did. He went to the recruiting point in Celadon, listened to Team Rocket's speech about how all Pokemon were theirs for the taking. He was silent the entire time. When they finished, he nodded slowly. Archer had made his choice.

At age eleven he became a Team Rocket Grunt. He wasn't allowed to officially wear the uniform and fight for the team until he learned the basics though, and spent the next four years training himself on how to pick locks, steal Pokemon, break into any place without leaving a trace, and other requirements. His dedication to the job was certainly not the norm of a young Grunt, but no one really paid him much mind. At age fifteen he finally got to wear the uniform and began training.

Just like the rest of Team Rocket, he roamed Kanto searching for rare Pokemon to steal, following whatever orders the Admins gave him. He had never laid eyes on Team Rocket's boss - not until after a successful mission relieving some old collector of his dozens of Nuggets. Giovanni was nothing like Archer expected, and in that instand his loyalty to the team was complete. Anyone else would have called it a crush, but Archer never recognized his feelings as such. At the time, he was no more than a Grunt and doubted Giovanni would even remember him; but three years later he was promoted to an Admin and sent to the Sevii Islands to work on a way to alter Pokemon through Radio Waves.

This was where he met Ariana, another Admin who was just as dedicated as he was. Their time on the island was short - some kid arrived, told them Team Rocket had disbanded, and produced the Earth Badge as evidence. Archer was stunned. To think that Giovanni could be defeated by a mere child? It was impossible. Reluctantly, he left the islands without any idea of what he would do. He couldn't return to Kanto on account of being a member of Team Rocket, who were all wanted criminals - but there was always Johto.

Goldenrod City was nothing like Saffron, but the moment Archer saw it he knew there was potential for a Team Rocket comeback. The Radio Tower - that was the key. If they could broadcast a message to Giovanni - to the world - that Team Rocket was back on their feet, then there really was a chance things could change. It would take time, money, and effort, but Archer knew he couldn't do it alone. One quick phone call to Ariana and he had a second-in-command. Archer took the time to alter the original Team Rocket uniform; changing the typical black to white and labelling himself and Ariana as "Executives."

Two more joined along the way; Proton and Petrel. The four of them became the four Executives in charge of Team Rocket - or what was left of it. It took them three years to put their plans in order, but finally they were capable of sending the message they had waited and hoped for.

Things started to go wrong at the Slowpoke Well, where Proton was apparently defeated by some meddling kid. It didn't bother Archer at the time - Proton did only have two weak Pokemon after all - but when the Mahogany base went down, that was when he decided they needed to step up their plans. Their experiments at the Lake of Rage to force the Magikarp there into evolving early had worked wonderfully. Now all he needed to do was finish the job.

The broadcast went out. Archer didn't know if it would reach Kanto or not, but he was determined to bring the boss back to lead them again. That kid from before reappeared, taking out Petrel, Proton, and Ariana. Finally, they came face to face. Archer had been slightly amused at the fact that a child could do so much damage in so little time - but that was what had happened before, wasn't it? He fought the kid and lost. Archer announced the end of Team Rocket once again, and along with his Executives, he quickly escaped.

It is six years after that horrible last battle, and Archer has still not seen Giovanni. He keeps in touch with Ariana, Petrel, and Proton on occasion, but mostly he spends his time wandering. Old habits die hard, they say, and Archer stole some particularly interesting Pokemon while exploring. He spent nearly a year in Hoenn, studying over the myths of a duo of Pokemon who nearly tore the world apart, only to be stopped by a third... and a child. A child. Why was it always children? He wouldn't get that answer. Sinnoh came next, and that was where Archer spent most of the following years. He trained his Pokemon team, altering them in and out to find the perfect fit. He had gone unnoticed in both regions, despite the fact that he still proudly wore the red R emblem on his chest. It seemed no one had heard - or cared - about Team Rocket there. It didn't matter. Someday they would. Someday.

Last year Archer returned to Kanto. It had been quite a long time since he had set foot there, but he wasn't afraid. Not anymore. They wouldn't even be looking for Team Rocket members. It was in the old Game Corner that he began to start laying plans again. This time, he promised himself; this time they wouldn't fail.

Personality:
In a word, Archer is loyal. It's no wonder his favorite Pokemon is a dog. His loyalty to Team Rocket really lies within the boss rather than the Team's goals. He could care less about stealing Pokemon for profit, really. But Giovanni made being a member worthwhile. This leads to a second point; Archer has quite a bit of a boss-fixation. (In HG/SS only one of his lines didn't include Giovanni.) Archer can be incredibly obsessive once he's found a goal to work towards, but it's difficult for him to find that goal on his own. He's somewhere between a leader and a follower, and can't quite seem to decide which he is.

As far as Team Rocket members go, Archer isn't exactly normal. Yes, he trains Poison-types, and yes he steals and sells Pokemon, but he's not abusive towards his own. In fact, he really does care for most of his Pokemon... but he makes sure no one's around when he's doing that sort of thing. It would ruin his reputation. While Archer did do a lot of field work as a Grunt, he's actually much better when it comes to management. That includes finances, paperwork, making sure Proton and Petrel aren't using Voltorbs to blow up Grunts... and everything in between. It's a harrowing job, and Archer typically seems a bit frazzled and at his wit's end.

Archer is quite intelligent for a kid who dropped out of school to train a Zubat and then join Team Rocket. He always was interested in what the scientists and researchers were doing, and picked up a lot from them. The layout for the Radio Tower's takeover and usage was designed by Archer himself. He relies heavily on others without even realizing it; a fact that made it difficult to wander off on his own in Hoenn and Sinnoh. Likewise, Archer has a bit of difficulty understanding emotion. His ability to empathize is particularly low. More often than not, flirtations, sexual innuendos, and the like go right over his head. It's not that he's inexperienced (not to say that he's very experienced either), it's just that it's not something that really clicks right with him. He's almost always teased about his boss-fetish, which always puts him in a bad mood.

As far as temper goes, Archer can take quite a lot of abuse. He tends to ignore whatever remarks that are pissing him off and subdue it. He believes that showing anger in public will make him seem weaker. He's known for being the stoic, hard-to-read Executive. But when he finally reaches his breaking point he will snap - usually just verbally - or storm off in a rage. Archer isn't very physical when it comes to fighting; he's certainly not as skilled as he was when he was training as a Grunt. Likewise, to keep up this stoic appearance, Archer is careful about showing any sort of emotion besides a smirk or two. He doesn't feel sadness, he doesn't feel joy, he doesn't feel relief. But of course he does; and it's difficult for him to keep all those emotions bottled up inside. It makes it much easier for him to explode over something as miniscule as a tiny error in some paperwork.

He's not crazy, but he's not exactly the definition of sane. Then again, who would be? He's a member of Team Rocket, after all.

Sample I:
Voice message: Private to Team Rocket Executives
Ariana, Proton, Petrel. We have some things to discuss. It's been quite awhile since Team Rocket has done anything - unless you all are conspiring without me? The boss is still out there somewhere and we must find him. As loathe as I am to the idea, perhaps we could take his son hostage? I'm not certain the boss cares all that much for the boy, but it is an idea. I would like you all to meet me at the Game Corner. You know where the back entrance is. The password is still the same. And Petrel, don't try to change your voice to sound like Giovanni. That nearly sent the cops on us last time.

I hope you all have been doing well. Proton, you have caught some more useful Pokemon, I assume? I've heard of one that is "a walking butcher knife" that lives somewhere in the Unova region. I haven't been there personally, but it could be useful to examine it. Ariana, there are a few things we must discuss concerning what you send to my Pokegear. I'd rather not have to deal with that sort of childishness.

Take care.
Message ended.

Sample II:
Johto. It had been six years since he had set foot here, and had immediately had Crobat fly him to New Bark Town. He wanted to simply walk the path that child had, maybe come across something useful along the way. The Ruins of Alph weren't that far away, and a walk would do him some good, he supposed; he had been cooped up inside often recently. The Team Rocket Executive had decided on civilian clothes - just in case anyone recalled seeing him six years ago. A white button-up shirt and dark slacks were what he had picked out, which were probably not the best to wear while walking through tall grass. Occasionally a Pokemon would jump out at him, but Archer had no interest in them.

He arrived in Cherrygrove with no trouble, glancing over the small and rather pathetic town disdainfully. Nothing here worth noting. He carried on, pausing to examine a sign that stated Mr. Pokemon's house was straight ahead. Mr. Pokemon? Who in the world was that? Archer found it ridiculous that he would change his last name to Pokemon, and decided the Ruins of Alph were more appealing. Talking to an old man would certainly not lift his spirits any.

Suddenly someone was yelling at him and Archer turned cautiously, prepared for some sort of fight-or-flight response from the cops. It had become habitual to him after so long - but the only one there was a kid with his hat on backwards. "Hey you!" He shouted again. "You're a Pokemon trainer, right? So let's battle!"

With a sigh, Archer selected a Pokeball from his belt and unleashed Houndoom. The kid sent out a Rattata. Archer blinked in surprise. Here was a kid who wasn't any good - but perhaps he would be in the future. Perhaps he'd be the one to tumble Team Rocket again. That thought alone was enough to crush any desire to go easy on him. "Overheat," He ordered in the usual cold, slightly acidic tone. Houndoom obeyed, unleashing a wave of heat at the Rattata, which fainted almost immediately.

"My Rattata! But he's in the top percentage of all Rattatas!"

Archer walked away, Houndoom at his side. He had trained too; if any kid wished to challenge Team Rocket this time, they'd be up against more than they bargained for.
