Dinner at Charley's
yeah, so Valentine's Day was cool. I didn't have to work. Got up, did a little playing, ate breakfast. Then I went to the mall to get erin a present. You know? He was right. You don't get a girl jewelry when you've only been dating for a few months for a birthday present. That's not very smart. Cause then, down the road, you're screwed. I got her a necklace for her birthday and some other stuff, and then for christmas I got her a ring. And they said you couldn't go wrong with jewelry... Well I couldn't get her a bracelet thing cause I don't think she likes those... and she has 3 other rings and other necklaces. So I was just walking around for ideas.. flowers, stuffed animal with candy. I ended up getting her a rose from Hoelck's, a heart with candy in it from cvs, and a glass decoration for a table or nightstand with a poem on it. I hope she liked it. Even though I don't think she did. She got me this really cool watch that was on sale. What the crap. MY present is supposed to be cooler than HER present. WTF. sigh.. Oh well. Just wait until her birthday... Then we went to our lesson in Ledyard. Mine went really well despite the fact that I sounded like crap warming up upstairs. Must've been the acoustics of that room. Then we went to Charley's for dinner with Craig and Tracy. Good times.
But yeah, I feel pretty good about my audition coming up. Still a lot of things I have to work out. But the great thing is, my face isn't tired. Ever. I'm in shape. that's all that matters to me. Little things I can practice and clean it. But my face has to be in good shape to play. No airyness in my sound, and a good strong sound. I practiced an hour today about 3 hours ago. I have a lesson tomorrow too at 630. Should be ok. Auditions for EMF on thursday, and Hartt on Friday. Wish me luck.
