The pink haired girl had watched each battle the challenger fought through to reach her, clapping slightly as he finished. This promised to be a tough one!
"Alright then!" She replied, flexing an arm and pointing at Ash. "A three on three battle. Show me how strong you are..." The Fighting-type specialist took out her first pokeball, tossing it to the ground. In a flash of light a Meditite appeared, apparently in a meditative stance.
Ah! SO he knew this trick! The kid had some experience, even though it looked like his Houndour could use a little more training. Well, she couldn't pull Meditite out of Bide early, so she just hoped the dog Pokemon would get frustrated and attack anyways.
Her expression was focused, a funny contrast to her pokemon's apparent laziness. "Just hold on Meditite..."
"Just hold back for now Houndour, just use Howl until it unleashes the attack! You'll even be able to do more damage with the raised attack power you get!!"
Houndour wasn't happy, but she let out a Howl anyway after another little charge for an abandoned attack.
With the type conflict and all the saved up power from the howling, the poor Meditite had no chance. The little Psychic type fainted dead away, his eyes swirling. Maylene yelped, calling him back.
"It's alright... just some bad luck. It's not gonna happen again! Go, Machoke!" She threw another ball, and the giant muscle-bound pokemon appeared, flexing.
"Defend yourself Machoke. Don't let a little water hurt you!"
The Machoke threw it's arms up to cover it's face and body just as the Water Pulse hit. It grunted in surprise and a little pain, being pushed back a few steps... but didn't seem too badly hurt.
The Machoke held it's arms up again to block. But it's stance was looser. The moment the Wingull came in for a Wing Attack it was going to try and grab it again.

"I'll try my best, so you'd better too!"

He looked at the screen for a moment before reaching for his belt. "Well then, let's get started! Houndour, I choose you!"
"Hoooouuuuunnnd..." the small black dog growled as it appeared on the battlefield.

"Use Bide, Meditite!" She commanded. The pokemon nodded, closing it's eyes and seeming to doze off in it's meditative position.

"Houn..." Houndour looked back as Ash briefly before deciding it wanted to go for a bite instead.
"Hey! I said Howl! You've gotta hold it while it uses Bide!"
"Dour..." Houndour stopped begrudgingly before letting out a howl.
"HOOUUUU!!!"

And it was barely strong enough to rustle the dog-pokemon's fur.
"Oh man..." That... could have gone a lot better. But now her pokemon was wide open for attack!

"Houndour, return! Wingull, I choose you!"
"Guuuull!!" it declared coming out of the ball, stretching its wings a little before taking to the air.
Reply
"Alright, try a Seismic Toss. Grab it right outta the air!"
The fighting-type ran forward, using it's height to try and snag the Wingull and toss it to the ground.

"Keep your distance for now! Water Pulse!"

"Oh man... I was hoping the Water Pulse would distract or confuse it... Hang in there Wingull!"
