Match-Up Post

This is where writers, artists, and beta-readers find other people to work in teams with. Here's how this works:

✗ This match-up post is open until September 15, 2011. You're free to post ads and find teammates until then.

✗ Keep in mind that a team can have no more than one writer, two artists, and one beta-reader. Less is okay ( Read more... )

Title: Venom
Verse: Game - Generation III
Rating: M
Characters: Green, Red, Leaf, Giovanni, Silver, Team Rocket executives/grunts, Professor Oak, Lance.
Pairings: Green/Red, Green/Leaf, Red + Leaf friendship, Leaf/Lance.
Warnings: violence, language, sexual situations, the use of a romantic/sexual relationship to manipulate someone, infidelity, both slash and heterosexual pairings, political intrigue, betrayal.
Notes:

Summary: This is the AU where Green and Red are kidnapped by Team Rocket as children. As such, they've been brainwashed to believe that Team Rocket's ideology is correct and have since risen through the ranks to become Giovanni's trusted enforcers. In their absence, Leaf goes on a journey to challenge the League (though she secretly hopes that she can find out more about what happened to her dear childhood friends), but only runs into Team Rocket a few times without confronting them like the PC does in the games. When Leaf becomes Champion, she is tasked with disbanding the organization. The beginning of the League's sting operation coincides with a power struggle between two factions in Team Rocket after Giovanni flees the region. Green, whose ambition overrules his loyalty to Giovanni, starts taking steps to defeat the higher-ups of the organization (Archer, Ariana, Petrel and Proton, who claim legitimacy by using Silver, Giovanni's heir) and take power for himself by simultaneously gaining Silver's trust and manipulating Leaf into exterminating the Executives for him. Meanwhile, Red, who never adopted Team Rocket's philosophy as well as Green did and still uses Pikachu and Green's abandoned Eevee, forms a bond with Research & Development's newest creation - a genetically engineered creature that is to become the world's most powerful pokemon. As the story progresses, Green and Red's relationship is put to the test as Red comes to question Green's - and the organization's - motives and Leaf reenters their lives. Similarly, Leaf becomes increasingly conflicted with her responsibility as Champion to do what is right and the feelings she's beginning to develop for the boys she meets (though they don't realize who they are until much later in the story).

A/N: The story will mostly be a character study focused on Green, Red and Leaf, but it will be plot-driven and sprinkled with romance and drama. I'm not done writing it yet, but I have a pretty good idea of where I want this to go. This is my first Big Bang, and this is turning out to be significantly longer than the kinds of pieces that I usually write, so I ask for your patience and understanding. Thank you!

Artists: There are currently no artists working on this project, but I'm very excited to work with an artist on this. I think there are a few instances in this piece that can lend themselves to the creation of a piece of art. Thank you in advance and I look forward to working with you!

Beta-readers: There are currently no beta readers working on this project either. I would like you to have extensive knowledge of the games and be open to editing a number of potentially risque scenes ranging from violence, sex, or perhaps even torture. It would also be best if you don't have a problem with reading about homosexual or heterosexual relationships. Given the situation that the characters find themselves in, it is also important to remember that Green and Red especially are going to have a number of different personality traits that they don't in canon, such as cruelty, ruthlessness, and a marked lack of compassion or respect to their pokemon. All I ask is that you be proficient in English, open-minded, and, above all, honest and constructively critical of our work so that we can make it the best it can possibly be. Thank you in advance and I look forward to working with you!

This sounds interesting. The concept and the AU premise looks like something I might love to convey in an art piece. This is my first Big Bang as well and I hope to do my best! Feel free to PM me if you like! I look forward to working with you as well, if you'll have me.
