Verse: 5th generation game verse; takes place after a slightly different end to the game.
Rating: T
Characters/Pairings: Touya, N, Cheren, Bianca, Elesa, and Ghetsis. Touya/N is the pairing.
Notes:
Summary: Touya's world falls apart when a fight with N leaves him broken and avoiding confrontation with Team Plasma. In Touya's absence from the world, Team Plasma has succeeded in leaving over half of the trainers in the world Pokemon-less. With aid from Elesa, Touya is forced back into the dark world that he allowed to be created. As he struggles to revive his friendship with Cheren and save N, he must live up to the "hero" that Ghetsis has always dreamed of.
Snippet: I chose a short part to spare people from reading too much, but I feel that it displays the mood well.
A single light was on and it belonged to the Pokemon Center of Nimbasa City. It was pitch black aside from that solitary being. There was no one on the streets; it was empty. I had never seen the city so dead, it was as if all of the life had been stolen from it. The city was usually a vibrant and effervescent place, even during the early morning hours. Yet, today, there was a nothing that ate away joy from its heart. I had seen the city a million times before, but it felt distant and cold this time. I felt as if the world had rejected me from its warm embrace.
A/N: This story is probably more of a drama than anything else, with a little bit of action to spice it up. It is mostly about N and Touya's relationship, so please keep that in mind.
Beta-readers: I have a tendency to skip over short words as I type very quickly, which also leads me to make one-letter typos (such as typing "male" instead of "make"). I also know that I will have a very difficult time with N's character and how I see him. This is written in first person and is from Touya's point of view, so he might be a bit deep (I like to develop my characters a lot and game Touya gives me a lot of chances to do so). I would love a beta-reader to catch these small things, help keep me on track, and make sure that everything flows.
Artists: I believe that there a few scenes that I would love to see in picture, though the choice of which one is entirely up to the artist. I would love an artist who would be able to take something from a written statement in the story and turn it into to picture without any more detail from me. So, basically, I would like an artist's full and complete interpretation of a scene without any input of how I pictured the scene. I believe that the freedom and separate feel will develop the story to a greater understanding.
