Swap ball type after catching pokemon?

Is there a way to change the type of pokeball a certain pokemon is in without re-catching it? I want the pokemon I use most often in batle (my starter, for example) inside Heal Balls.

Also, on the lower battle screen it shows a row of pokeballs (my 6 pokemon). What does it mean when one of them is shaking?
