Pokemon Cosplay NYC Photoshoot - "Visiting Castelia City"
UPDATE: Postponed to the spring!
Calling all NYC metropolitan area cosplayers (or, anyone close enough to come!) My friend and I are trying to organize a New York City photoshoot on either Sat., Nov. 17 or Sat., Nov. 24 in the theme of "visiting Castelia"-or, we're pretending that NYC is Nimbasa/Castelia and running around Manhattan taking a mess of pictures. All pokemon cosplayers and fans are welcome!

What is this?
A NYC/Castelia City photoshoot! My friends and I are always talking about how much fun it would be to see how various characters would respond to Castelia's hustle-and-bustle, so we decided to explore this notion first-hand.

Who can come?
We're especially looking for cosplayers and photographers (and cosplaying photographers, and photographing cosplayers)! All verses, all gens, all characters, all pokemon, EVERYBODY GET IN HERE.
But if you just want to come meet some awesome pokéfolk and trade friend codes and watch us get up to some crazy hijinks, that's cool too! Everyone can come :)
When is it?
POSTPONED UNTIL THE SPRING!
On a Saturday, either November 17 OR November 24 - tell us what day works better for you when you sign up, and we'll let you know when we have a firm date!
We're also trying to organize a night shoot on Friday, Nov. 30 in the subway so that we can take battle subway shots in empty train cars. We're not expecting a large turnout, but if you're up to it, let us know on your sign-up!
Lastly, we're planning to have another shoot like this in the spring (when it's warmer and we can run around Central Park without freezing to death), so if you can't make it this time, just keep your ear open for when we announce the next one. :)
Where is it?
Manhattan, mostly midtown. We're starting at the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop on the 4/5/6 line so we can take pictures with the Skyarrow Brooklyn Bridge, then heading up to Grand Central to take photos in there, then heading to Rockefeller Center (Nintendo World!!), and finishing in Times Square. You're welcome to join us or leave at any time and at any point during our wandering!
What time is it running to and from?
On the day of the shoot, we're meeting just outside the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop at 12:00PM (noon). I don't know how long we're going to take at each place, or if we're even going to make them all (we'll try!!), but we should be done by 5-6PM. We might just end up staying for however long everyone wants to. It'll be fun!
How do I meet up with you folks if I want to come later on?
If you sign up, I'll be sending you an e-mail with my contact info (including phone #) as the date comes closer. You can text or call me to find out where we are at any given time! (Texting is better though.)
What should I bring?
- A COAT. WARM THINGS. Remember, it's cold and we don't want anyone to freeze! :(
- Good walking shoes are advised because we're probably doing a lot of that. Bring shoes to switch out with if you have to!
- Besides that, anything you want, really! A metrocard is an obvious necessity. You can bring a camera, water and snacks are probably a good idea, BRING SAFETY PINS/BOBBY PINS/emergency cosplay supplies, etc. Props would be cool, too. We're doing lots of traveling, though, so keep that in mind. :)
What if we get snowed/rained/weather'd out?
If we decide on the 17th and get weather'd, we'll try for the 24th. If the 24th is a wash, well...we're going to do this again in the spring, so I guess we'll catch you then! Sorry :(

Do I have to sign up?
Not at all! You can suddenly appear from the tall grass if you want to. You might have a hard time finding us as we travel if you don't sign up, though, since I can't get you my phone number if you don't give me your e-mail.
