Advice about merch?

Aug 17, 2011 20:25

Hello again! I come to you with a plea for advice.

So I found these two pieces of Pokemon merchandise at Goodwill, and thought that maybe they were valuable. They are both in the original packaging and everything, though the packaging isn't in mint condition (but still good, it's not falling apart or anything).

The first is this Chatot keychain (package says Diamond and Pearl Series 14 keychain).  Still in packaging, in great shape and everything. Never been opened or anything. (Sorry for the blurriness, I'm no professional photographer.)

The second is this Electronic Talking Turtwig Plush from Jakks Pacific. It is a large plush and it is still in the box and all. He's in beautiful shape, and the box is in good condition. He doesn't talk, but I am 99% sure that is because his batteries have run out (I would put different ones in to check, but I don't want to take him out of the package).

So my question to you all is this: if you were in my position and were considering selling them, how much would you let them go for? Or, if you were looking to buy them, how much would you be willing to pay for them? I ask because I have NO experience in Pokemon collectibles/merchandise at all. I bought them for $1.95 each, if that would somehow help your calculations at all?

I did find some Turtwig plush just like mine on Amazon for $28.85 at the absolute lowest price and as much as $89.99 new?! Is this an accurate price range, in your opinion?

If it's not worth the trouble of selling them, I am tempted to give the keychain to my little brother and open the plush for myself.
