The story behind it all?
Well.. About a week ago, I was tired and washing laundry while studying for my final exams...
Yeah. My PokeWalker was in my pants.
And so, El Toro was lost at sea. I was worried. I waited. I had to focus on my exams, counting on the fact that my Pokemon could hold his own.
His PokeWalker was shaken clean, and air-dusted to remove excess water. I let it dry overnight, the following day, and still nothing from the buttons.
At my friend pandemic_panic's suggestion, I gathered a bowl of dry rice (which is particularly good for absorption, as here in California we put it in salt shakers to keep it from clumping when it's humid) and set the opened PokeWalker in it for the remainder of the week. Just a couple of minutes ago, I put the battery back in and there was El Toro happy to greet me! *snif* He's such a brave sailor. He was therefore promoted to Captain, and given an appropriate name. This guy's joining my team!!
