Eggs question
When it comes to Pokemon eggs that you receive as scripted events in the game (for example the Riolu egg in Gen IV), is there any way to affect the odds of the pokemon's gender when it emerges from the egg? I'd like for the Riolu to come out female, but the odds on that are 1-in-8, and I was hoping there was a way to improve the odds.
Secondarily, is the gender of a Pokemon inside an egg determined when you receive the egg (and thus would have to reset to before you got the egg if looking for a specific gender), or is that not determined until it hatches?
