Sorry for the lateness this week, but I got a bit busy. Aaaanyway, this week's team will be one comprised of Pokeymanz who might make a tasty snack. That's right, it's the all food edition! Thankfully, Game Freak has given us a vast array of edible Monsters that span across all types. So, without further ado...
Miltank @ Leftovers
Bold Nature, 252 EVs in Def, 212 in HP and 44 in Atk
Ability: Thick Fat
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- ThunderPunch
- Ice Punch
Ah Miltank, she give us delicious MooMoo Milk, as well as the cream and milkfat needed to make cheese, sour cream and other fine dairy products. A perfect supplement to any meal, and as a support lead, she can supplement your team by spreading paralysis and laying down rocks. Her Speed is not horrible, but it can't compete with common suicide leads such as Azelf and Aerodactyl, who can Taunt her before she gets a T-Wave off. Luckily, she has access to the BoltBeam Punches to work off her respectable base Atk. If you're up against T-Tar or a non-SL, start setting up. Thick Fat over Scrappy because Normal attacks are not needed, and a defensive boost is always good for a support Pokémon
Tauros @ Choice Band
Jolly Nature, 252 EVs in Atk and Spd, 4 in HP
Ability: Intimidate
- Return
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Mmm, beefy. Whether it's the filet mignon or the ground chuck, Tauros can provide a tasty, filling meal. In battle, Tauros can provide some very satisfying physical power. The vast array of attacks is self-explanatory, and the ability is Intimidate because of Tauros' constant switching. Anger Point is too risky, but Intimidate will get a lot of lowered attacks as Tauros switches in and out repeatedly.
Blaziken @ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature, 252 EVs in Atk, 232 in Spd and 24 in HP
- Superpower
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- ThunderPunch
When beef is too heavy, chicken still provides the lean meat protein as well as being lighter on the stomach. Blaziken... well, strangely enough, it needs to have a Choice Scarf to be "lighter" than Tauros here, but still, it's an effective Scarf-attacker. Superpower works well because of constant switching, and ThunderPunch just to show those cocky little Water and Flying-types who's boss. Speed EVs to outrun Scarfed Heatran.
Cloyster @ Leftovers
Impish Nature, 252 EVs in HP and Def, 4 in Atk
Ability: Shell Armor
- Rapid Spin
- Avalanche
- Spikes
- Payback
Clams have those hard shells that are very hard to pry open via physical means. It's a lot easier to use "special" tactics. Cloyster fits that mold quite well. It can tank even SE physical hits, but don't expect it to survive a T-Bolt or an Aura Sphere. Cloyster will still have plenty of opportunities to come in and clear the field of entry hazards should Miltank fail at prevention. It can also lay some hazards of its own, and it's been equipped with two moves that are either reverse priority or favor going last. Shell Armor over Skill Link here because there's no Icicle Spear on this set and the last thing you want is CritHax negating your defensive investments.
Grumpig @ Leftovers
Calm Nature, 252 EVs in SpDef, 204 in HP and 52 in SpAtk
Ability: Thick Fat
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
Ah yes, pork, the other white meat, is a very versatile meat, and Grumpig is a very versatile Pokémon. Its best use is as a special wall/sponge/tank. This set is already especially bulky and can only get moreso with each CM boost. Sub helps that process along, while Psychic and FB are used as the weapons here.
Leafeon @ Life Orb
Jolly Nature, 252 EVs in Atk and Spd, 4 in HP
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Leaf Blade
- X-Scissor
What's a meal without veggies? Sure, if you're a kid, the best meal is, but as you grow up, your tastes change and you like having leafy greens in your diet. You'll learn to like having Leafeon on your team as well. It can boost its attack and either pass to Tauros, Blaziken or even Miltank or Cloyster should you be so inclined. It can also stick around and attack with two high-powered attacks as well.
There you go. All questions, comments, criticisms and requests are not only welcomed by are encouraged. Eat up!
