Monotype Team: Fighting!

Feb 22, 2008 20:14

In Gen I, the Fighting type was basically Alakazam fodder. Since every Ash and his Delia had one of those Psychic destroyers on their team (or if legendaries were allowed, the Broken One himself), it was pretty useless to train a Fighter. Then, Gen II rolled along, and both the new types they introduced were weak to Fighting. The type made a huge comeback, and over the generations, were given some pretty unusual but useful typings. A Fighting team is going to be full of sweepers and tanks. No walls on this team by its very nature. Most of them are physical in nature, but with Pokés like Lucario and Gallade being introduced, special Fighters aren't so uncommon (although I'd much rather use Gallade as a physical sweeper...)
