[Permanent Way] Post to keep track of the random crap I come up with for consistant continuity.

The following is taken from the original application.

AU background: Kyon figured he had it all set, become a Pokémon Trainer, travel the world, maybe collect a few badges... Normal stuff. Originally from Johto, after a few years of travelling, he arrived in the land of Sinnoh along with his trusty partner Wobbuffet, where his life was turned upside down after meeting Master Trainer Haruhi Suzumiya.

For reasons unknown, Suzumiya decided to create 'Team SOS', a group of trainers chosen as her protégés whether they liked it or not. Team SOS consisted of Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato (actually a Deoxys in disguise), Mikuru Asahina (actually a time traveller with help from Celebi), Itsuki Koizumi (actually a competent psychic) and himself, the ever normal Kyon. The three other members reveal that they have all been sent on a mission from other factions, noting a large space-time disturbance surrounding Haruhi, who is able to subliminally change the fabric of the universe, but is oblivious to her power.

Team SOS travelled the land together as they often came across Haruhi's rival Tsuruya and also went head to head with Team Galactic, led by Cyrus, who wishes to take advantage of the Sinnoh Space-Time Legend to obtain God-like powers for himself with the use of the legendary dragons Dialga and Palkia, unaware that Haruhi already has these kinds of powers herself. However, when the two dragons were summoned by Cyrus at the Spear Pillar of Mt. Coronet, something went terribly wrong and a third dragon, Giratina made its entrance... As the battle raged, threatening all of time space and dimensions, Kyon suddenly found himself on... A train?

Personality: Kyon would like to consider himself the most normal guy in the world, surrounded by the world's most outrageous situations. Constantly questioning exactly why he always ends up in these situations, he sometimes finds himself quite exasperated with things, especially when dealing with Haruhi. However most of the time is able to keep his cool while remaining cynical, almost always with a snarky remark in his head which he may or may not voice depending on present company. Despite this, he really does enjoy these crazy things to a certain degree and manages to pull through somehow.

Occasionally, if you catch him in one of his more relaxed moods, he's able to sit and have a calm conversation over all kinds of things, no matter how ridiculous the topic due to his experience in the weird. When things sometimes get too crazy or ridiculous, his Wobbuffet will chime in, yelling its name.

The following has been established since the application.

Team: Other than Wobbuffet, Kyon's normal team contained Crobat, Psyduck, Electrode, Roselia and Probopass before his arrival on the train. (Established on Dear Mun, yet to be confirmed in any official stuff.)

Kanto Adventure: When travelling the Kanto region, Kyon challenged the Celadon Gym three times, he never won. He also never challenged Saffron Gym due to Sabrina's Psychic types being too tough for him. He also did not know the identities of the Cinnabar or Viridian Gym Leaders, which indicates he never challenged them either.

Sinnoh Adventure: Kyon has also made vague passing references to Ryoko Asakura's attempt on his life and Haruhi's attempt to recreate the world, events which both happened in the original canon, the exact details of events in the AU are however yet to be determined. (Asakura has been fleshed out more in the Fame Checker post of this journal.) Also, nothing has been mentioned anywhere about this ever, but... The AU events of book 4 totally took place in Solaceon Town and involved Unowns. Kyon lost to Candice twice.

Other: Tsuruya has been established as Haruhi's rival and Haruhi is established as a Master Trainer. Cynthia is yet to be mentioned in the AU. Tsuruya and Cynthia are both mysterious. To be a rival to a Master Trainer, you must be a high level trainer yourself. Therefore, Tsuruya = AU equivalent of Cynthia

Kyon is established as being from Johto, this is a reference to the fact that Nishinomiya, the setting of the original series, is in the area which was adapted into Johto for Pokémon. There is no direct equivalent of Nishinomiya in Johto, however the closest town to that location is Olivine City (Kobe). Kyon has 117 Pokémon caught according to his Pokédex as of his arrival on the train.

Sample post: Oh great, just great... Team SOS had just arrived in Eterna City and received 'Explorer Kits' from some kind of 'Underground Man', and the first thing Haruhi of course does is decide "Hey! Let's go exploring! Maybe we could dig up treasure! And make secret bases!"

I try to object, asking her why we should be digging for treasure or making bases... I mean really? What could we do with an Underground Base? Haruhi suggests that we could all place flags inside our secret bases and search for the others to steal the flags... I'd really like to protest, but she has that gleam in her eye, the one that means she won't take no for an answer, I sigh with resignation as I finally give in, I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Well with Team SOS's track record, a lot really... But we'll deal with that when we get there I suppose.
