[Just outside Violet's PokeCenter on a bright and sunny Friday afternoon, a young Fon Master and his Farfetch'd can be seen walking along the street. A new addition to the team accompanies them: say hello to Drifloon! Said balloon Pokemon is contentedly attached by the strings to the ends Ion's pigtails(?) and is pulling them upwards

I quite like the chill, myself. [Touya jumped from the tree he was in, landing silently on his feet with his own Drifloon at his side.]

Did you live somewhere colder back home?

What temperature would you say is too cold, then?

Truthfully, I don't know. I've never encountered a temperature I've found to be too cold.

[Or cold at all, really. Seeing as he had little to no ability to actually even feel uncomfortable in cold weather before he got here.]

...I would say that my name is Touya, and I once manipulated and controlled ice well enough for the title of 'master'.

An Ice Master, hmm? That sounds impressive!

That doesn't seem strange? Hm...What kind of world are you from?

[pokefonmaster]

There are many types of magic where I come from, so hearing about an Ice Master isn't odd to me at all. Auldrant isn't as technologically advanced as this world, however.

Magic? Intriguing...oh, I don't believe I got your name.

[pokefonmaster]

We call them artes, but since I arrived here I've learned that it's basically the same thing. [He starts when he realizes he forgot to introduce himself in response to Touya's introduction earlier.] Ah, I'm sorry! My name is Ion, it's nice to meet you.

[He holds out his hand to shake: accept y/n?]

[Sure, he'll go for it.]

Odd. I don't see magic as completely outlandish, though I've not seen any use of it back home. I and all those I know were born with their abilities.

My world is somewhat similar: people are born with the ability to use artes, or they aren't. Those who have the potential have to train to get anything out of it.
