[As scarce as Maxie has been making himself lately when it comes to this island, preferring to spend most of his time holed up in that cave of his with Camerupt or as deep underground as he can manage to get - and some of those caves extend quite far down, thanks - he's actually been fairly satisfied in that regard. Less cold that way, at the very least.

However, something seems to have drawn him out today, his gaze both wild and deeply intense; he can't explain exactly how he comes to be on that damn beach, either. The closest thing he can define it as is a presence.

Feels like the Blue Orb - or rather, someone who's handled it. Someone from their world. Not reading the same as Archie, either - not even close.

Of course, that beach is just...kind of confusing in and of itself. The splash of color from that hood, darkened with water though it is, catches his eye; no one from Team Magma should be reading like that, save for -

[Edmond is feeling fairly energetic today, so he'll be heading out... in the wheelchair that he's confined to, his right leg in a cast. It's an old wheelchair, and it doesn't get along well with sand, so he'll be watching from the nearest non-sandy area. Ah... somebody in a Team Magma uniform is someone who deserves assistance from Edmond, too bad he can't get near. So... a Zangoose carrying a water bottle will be approaching Mitch in his trainer's stead.]
