He takes things a little too literally sometimes.

[The problem with this Bill is that he's curious. Very curious. You do not tell him things that make him curious because then he will kill himself doing stupid things for the sake of science thereafter, especially if he's pretty sure he's crazy anyway. For example, if you tell him that the island is sentient, he will try to psychoanalyze it. ( Read more... )

[...Is that the exit to this Nexus? Maybe that kindred soul will be able to help! Oddly Dressed Belle get!]

Excuse me, sir! May I ask what you are doing?

[Oh! A visitor! An unusual-looking visitor, but Bill doesn't mind!]

Ah! Hello there! Yes, of course. You know that the island somehow transported us here, right? I'm right now conducting an experiment to see if it would respond when someone directly addresses it. I'm hoping that by doing that, I'll be able to figure how it works, so to speak.

...Wait, what? [Someone hasn't gotten the memo on this place yet. She could understand that in a weird way, but...]

This place...is actually alive? Is it some kinda of giant program? [She'll think about the rest of that statement there. ...It makes sense in an odd way.]

Has it responded back, yet? I'd be curious as to how this place thinks, you see.

That's what I've been told, yes. At least, everyone seems to say that the island kidnapped us as if it committed the act itself. I'm afraid I'm not sure how it could have done that or what its nature is at all. It could be a giant program- [He thinks you mean computer program here.] -or it could be a living creature. Like a Torterra, perhaps, only bigger.

It hasn't responded yet, unfortunately, but then again, I've only started talking to it. [He leans towards the cave entrance a little.] Hello?

Hmm... [Sounds like something Geechisu would do, but...to think that this island could come alove and actually kidnap people? That's bizzare in her book.]

I might go for the first, though the last is a possibility too! I wonder how it'd do that... [Hmm. Let's seen out our mini-Shandera! He'll be floating around, before Belle smiles!]

Shanderosa, do you think you can take a looksie into that cave? It would lead to the mainframe--or perhaps to the brain! Heyyyy! If you can hear this, please don't get too mad! [Communicating with what could be a sentinent program or giant Pokemon is a little weird. ...Worth a try though, right?]

Ah! Using a Pokémon as a guide! A brilliant idea! [He follows Shanderosa if it goes any deeper than a few feet.]

Island, if you can hear us, please give us a sign!

[Shanderosa will serve as a guide for them, it's flame illuminating the cave. It's weird, but it seems like such a normal cave...]

We're not out to harm you, if that's what you're afraid of! We're not here to harm anyone, you see!

[And for the next while, it probably would be. Bill chose a much smaller cave than Umbra, probably because he figured he'd eventually be exploring the bowels of the island to test how far he'd be able to go.

Every so often, he raps on the rock walls, as if that would wake up the island.]

Hello? Island, can you hear us?

[And then, to you:]

You don't see anything, do you? No shifting rocks? No cracks in the floor that seem to be changing?
