Good friends... troll each other

[Gary can be found right outside the gym on the beach. He has a table out here and some coffee. Seems like he's waiting for somebody to show up, judging by the way he's sitting- coffee cup in one hand and a newspaper in the other.

Eventually Ash will approach, not exactly who Gary was expecting but he can deal.]

Gary, do you really have to tell him?

[There's a Yellow, looking between the two curiously.]

[And with a Pikachu by her side! She caught her first Pokemon.]

I've been great! Blue-san helped me catch my first Pokemon. [Beaming down at the Pikachu.] I named her Chuchu. Say hi Chuchu.

[Turns to Ash.] Just that you were part of being in charge of a gym together.

[loves pikachu. so much. brb]

Hi, Chuchu. Nice to meet you. [and Ash's Pikachu waves his hello] Pika~!

Ah, yeah. Gary's in charge of it this year though.

[coleads]

Congratulations. Pikachu are good partners.

[Pikachu are AWESOME.]

[Chuchu waves, coming over to take a closer look at Ash's Pikachu. It's fellow Pikachu greeting time!]

They are. Chuchu's been really enthused with the training, even if I'm still perfecting a good routine.

So you alternate years?

Are you planning on being a coordinator? [Pikachu'll jump off Ash's shoulder to investigate]

Yeah. We both have other things we like to do other than run the gym.

[haremgameyellow]

[Shakes her head.] I'm planning on being a trainer. [Chuchu will be circling around Pikachu, sniffing him a bit.]

What do you guys like to do?

[notinmtsilver]

They're both good. [Pikachu will do the same] I'm more of a trainer, but I participate in a couple of contests here and there.

I... usually go out an challenge the other leagues.

[coleads]

I'm more of a researcher than a trainer these days.

[haremgameyellow]

I think trying to be both would be a bit too much pressure on my Pokemon. Grooming and stuff like that is something I'd want to relax them with, not have a goal behind it. [Aaaaand because she's more tomboy when it involves competing with Pokemon with her dual personality thing.]

[And now Chuchu will playfully tackle Pikachu.]

So Ash-san likes to get stronger and Gary-san wants to get smarter?

That's a good way to think about it, but contest battle moves can be well used even during a gym battle.

[and Pikachu will fall over then get back up and do the same thing]

You could put it that way. Pokemon are very interesting, but I'd rather learn more about them than battle.

True, but I'd like to be a better trainer before I try anything like that. I'm not even sure how well I'd do in a real Pokemon battle.

[And Chuchu decides it's playtime. Yay playtime~]

They are. I've read a lot about them and yet it always seems like it's so little of what there really is.
