[Mom here is strolling around a bit, since she's just a few meters away from the house until she notices a little girl sleeping underneath the roots. Oh dear, the poor thing is all alone underneath in there. So she comes over to call her out.]

Dear? Wake up, dear. You know you might catch a cold if you stay outside for too long...

Hello, would you be a dear and please come out of there? You might get sick if you stay outside for too long.

[Crawling out of our little root-bed.]

My name is Miranda. I came from a house just right over there. [And she points to the quaint little bungalow that's visibly seen just a distance away.]

Now, may I ask what are you doing here? Is your mother or father around?

Uncle was, but he's not on the island....

Would you mind if you could come along with me and stay in my house for a while? It's not safe to stay outside for too long.
