[It's been some time since the pink-haired Lake Guardian has been outside. She's recovered rather nicely, thanks to a lot of rest and sweet recuperation. Those red gems are still slowly regenerating, now about halfway complete. Even after everything that had happened, Mesprit has cheered up and healed nicely.]

Hi, Phione! Yes, it's me!

[She may look a little different with those gems still growing back, but it's the same Mesprit you remember.]

[Phione just hops on over, landing with a twirl and a bow. It's only standard, after all.]

Ages have passed since our last meeting. Surely much has happened between now and then!

[It is always good to see her first friend on the island once again! Mesprit smiles.]

It has been a while! I've been through... a lot lately. Both good things... and some bad ones too.

[She goes silent for a moment, lowering her head. It's enough to show the broken gem on her forehead, slowly returning back to its full form.]

[The smile Phione had quickly vanishes.]

Oh! Your crowning jewel is damaged! Might I ask what has happened?

[roamin_emotion]

[Sadness is definitely going to overtake her for a moment.]

...I was captured - Azelf and Uxie too. Our gems, they were taken from us for some bad reason... just like last time... It hurt so much...

[She trembles with tightly-shut eyes. Pain like that doesn't easily go away, even after taking time to recover.]

[She's just... pretty shocked over here. And angry, too.]

To capture a Guardian is a deed most foul! A curse upon whoever has hurt you so!

[Ah, Phione's anger is normal. No one should ever do something so terrible.]

It is awful. Thankfully, we were set free afterwards, but our gems won't return for a while.

[Then again, Mesprit has been out for a while after all the fighting ceased. She doesn't really know much about where those Galactics are right now, only focusing on returning to her full strength.]

I can only hope that we won't be hurt by them ever again. No one deserves this to happen to them.

[She finally makes her way onto the blanket.] I recall you making cake before, Mesprit of the Lakes. This cake looks different from then!

Well, my last cake was very sweet, something I really like. While I've been recovering indoors, I had an idea on how to make a cake that fit everyone's tastes. There are five different flavors on this one, so if someone likes a certain type of taste, they can be happy with their slice.

What flavor do you like best?

That's my favorite too! [Here, have a pink slice of cake.] I overdid the sweetness last time, but I'm learning to get better!
