[Somewhere around the CMA, there's a Cynthia and her Garchomp, both having recently returned to the Island in a blissful state of ignorance concerning latest events. Which may or may not make for awkward meetings, depending on what fate held in store for the Champion.

For now, she has found herself a nice little spot to do some catching up on her

[Jupiter is standing a distance away, her Skuntank by her side. She was approaching to ask something to Cynthia, but Skuntank has just stepped in her way and stopped her with a string of Pokémon cries roughly translatable to "NO NO NO NO NO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING THIS IS A DIFFERENT CYNTHIA D8 ". To which Jupiter mumbled a "Ah. Okay, then." Having a smart Pokémon with a sharp sense of smell is a blessing.

It seems she still thinks it prudent to watch this Cynthia's actions from afar, though. If Cynthia turns in her direction, she'll see the Galactic Commander sitting on a rock, with Skuntank by her side.]

[And since Cynthia is more aware of Pokemon around her than people, the first thing she notices is Skuntank's presence. It was only when she looked up further that she noticed Jupiter in the distance.

There was something wrong with her, though. She couldn't quite place her finger on it, but it was strange to see a Galactic Commander so quietly sitting by, no misdeeds coming down her way. So for now, the Champion decides to just watch the other woman, saying no words for the time being.]

[Finally, Jupiter decides to say something - yelling, so that Cynthia will both hear her and have a confirmation that yes, Jupiter is as rude as she has always been.]

HUMPH! YOU'D THINK THE CHAMPION WOULD WANT TO SET AN EXAMPLE AND HAVE HEALTHIER EATING HABITS THAN THAT!

[... one day, Cynthia will learn not to jinx her luck.]

If you had some, it might put you in a better mood. [She doesn't yell, but she does lift her ice cream carton as though in offering. Who knows, perhaps they could have some resemblance of normal conversation that didn't involve destroying the world.]

BETTER MOOD, MY... ! I'D RATHER STAY HEALTHY, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF THE QUANTITY OF ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS AND FLAVORINGS YOU'RE PUTTING IN YOUR STOMACH? I WOULDN'T LET MY WORST GRUNT EAT THAT!

[Yeah, she's... not interested in the least.]

... I was actually eating ice cream when I made the post, sob |D

[... okay, no normal conversation today.]

Good thing I'm not a Galactic grunt, then. [She replies with a slight smirk and a shrug, right before taking another spoonful of ice cream.]

... My Skuntank's poison is still less poisonous than that. Ah, well, who cares!

[She turns to her Skuntank and smiles.]

Besides, if she keeps eating like that, she won't be able to hinder Master Cyrus' plans for much longer. Isn't that right, Skuntank? Maybe she'll put on so much weight, she won't be able to reach for her Poké Balls anymore!

[Jupiter laughs evilly... And of course, all of this is still said loud enough for Cynthia to hear.]

[... are we really going to discuss fitness here, Jupiter? *Really?*]

If this is what your Master is counting on in order to succeed, then he needs better plans. [She says, and only then looks up from her book again.] Or a better goal, but that's not happening anytime soon, is it?

... You don't know anything about what happened, do you?

[Yeah, have Jupiter curling up into a ball as she suuuulks like she's been doing for the past few weeks.]

[... well, this keeps getting weirder and weirder.]

I'm afraid not. I have only recently returned to this island.

Master Cyrus was injured... and then he... disappeared. He'll be back, though.

... Without him, I'm just... [She lets the sentence trail off and she shrugs her shoulders, hiding her face in her arms and knees. Only her eyes are visible... And they look pretty sad, although she'll deny it.]

[If there's one thing Cynthia doesn't like to see is a sad person. Even if it is a Team Galactic member.]

I'm sorry things had to come down to this. [She starts, in all honesty.] But perhaps now you can find a different path for yourself. A better one.

... Humph. Are you kidding me? I have no intention to betray Master Cyrus' plans for this world in his absence!

[She sighs.]

Though... there is something nice I'd like to do... somebody I'd like to help. But... I can't get through to them. For some reason... they won't even listen to what I say.

[Her gaze falls on Cynthia's ice cream.]

... Well, I suppose I could bribe her with ice cream, if she likes it as much as you do... And that might just be the case, since she's you...
