[Well, guess who's back on the island. A casual ride on his Salamence seems to have resulted in, well, Tucker being here again. He recognizes the place instantly and directs Salamence to take him to the beach were he and Mesprit first met

[And look who just so happens to be nearby? ♥

Mesprit's been returning to her roaming roots, that memory of hers quickly returning the more she explores around. With Alto nested safely on her head, she suddenly finds herself stopping in her tracks at the very familiar sight. Wait... ah yes, it's coming back, all right - it's as clear as the growing sense of joy and that coat of blush on her face. How in the world could she ever forget him?]

...Ah! Tucker!

[...But the Quirky cottonbird makes the first move, leaving his pink perch to fly closer. He's a little bit older now, but Alto remembers familiar faces... and perches~!]

Daddy~! [Why yes, he's going to land in your hair again.]

[Alto landing in his hair is what Tucker registers first. He tenses a little, but then he realizes... It's his baby!]

Alto! You have no idea how happy I am to see you again--

[... And then he sees Mesprit. He quickly whispers to Alto to hold on tight, and gracefully jumps down from Salamence. With his arms open, he walks towards Mesprit... His steps are cautious, and his eyes try to meet hers.]

Mesprit... Queen of my heart. Never, not for a single day, have I lost hope... How many sleepless nights have I spent thinking of you, remembering your sweet voice, your innocent eyes... ? Ah, I'm afraid I lost count.

[Seeing Alto feeling so happy makes her smile, but having her eyes meeting his makes her heart skip a beat. Somehow, open arms are always an invitation, so the sprite rushes closer until she stops just a bit short. She nearly wants to cry, she's so happy.]

You came back...! [Mesprit just can't help herself, as her arms embrace him and those tears start to trickle down from her eyes.] Ah, I missed you... We both did! Have you been all right?

[He wraps his arms tightly around her.]

Yes, my love, I'm back. ... How could I ever be alright without you? All those days when you were just a distant memory, I couldn't--

[Then he sees she's crying. He leans in and brushes his cheeks against hers to dry her tears.]

Don't cry, my princess... Oh, you're going to make me cry, too...! And how have you been?

[Ah, hugs are love. She relaxes, closing her eyes as he dries away those happy tears of hers.]

...Ah, sorry... I'm just so... so happy! I couldn't help myself...

[The question makes her wonder how much to tell. A lot did happen... but he doesn't want to worry him so much. Of course, it's hard for the Being of Emotion to actually hide how she truly feels about what's happened to her.]

I've been doing well... at least with all the weird things that happen around here... [She chuckles at her choice of words, just enjoying the moment for now.]

I'm happy, too. Immensely so.

[Then, Tucker's eyes narrow with intensity and worry. One of his hands travels up to Mesprit's chin and tilts it up a little.]

Weird things, love? What weird things?

[So much for the "don't worry" feeling... Now what else can she do but to tell?]

Well, I had... [She hesitates whether to mention what she did or that forgetful spell from earlier, but she wants to come clean about things. Maybe it's best that he does know, right?] ...I-I had some problems with changing back to this forme, and once I did change again, I forgot nearly everything... even you... [Her lowered tone changes quickly, returning to a slightly cheerier one.] Ah, but don't worry - I remember things now! I'll never forget anything again, I promise!

[Mesprit pauses once again, lowering her head sadly.] ... but now I remember something that I did... something awful...

[As Mesprit tells him about the two incidents, Tucker rocks her gently, attempting to calm her. He smiles warmly as she speaks. She doesn't need to apologize!]

I'm sure you did not forget on purpose. And... what was it you did, my love? It can't be as awful as you say it is...

[He plants a smooch on her cheek, hoping that will encourage her to tell him about it.]

[With a deep sigh, she shuts her eyes and gathers her courage. Her voice is still soft and sad, but the sweet gestures of his managed to help!]

M-my... my curse... [She trembles just at the thought of it. It's hard not to forget something that intense. No, she's not going to cry anymore, as awful as it was.] It was terrible...

[There's a brief moment in which Tucker puts two and two together. Then, he squeezes Mesprit harder.]

But you had your good reasons, didn't you, my love? ... Were you hurt?

Well, I guess, but... I'm not sure... I was only returning a favor... but I didn't really want to do it. There wasn't anything else I could do.

[Mesprit pauses to take in his tighter-yet-still-very-comforting hug. It is helping a little since it feels so nice, and that's a good thing.] It... it did hurt at first. It still does, though not as much... I just don't want to have that happen again.

[Tucker's expression tenses visibly. Also, this is probably the first time I use this icon, so you get the idea of how unusually upset this is making him.]

So somebody forced you. Tell me who they are, and I will make them pay for what they've done to you, my beloved.

[She may not be looking, but Mesprit can tell that this bothers him. Might as well explain things...]

...Ah, but he didn't exactly force me to... He just used a Revive on me and only wanted something in return... Please don't be upset - he is paying his price for it already...

[Oh goodness, she's close to tears again, but she wants to calm him down.]

... How could anybody ever want something like that?

But it's alright, honey. [Now he's smiling again, and he sets his hands firmly on Mesprit's shoulders.]

You did what was right, and you resisted the pain like the strong woman you are. I'm proud of you, sweetheart.

I don't know... It's really sad that he'll never get his emotions back, and I can't help but to feel sorry for him...

[Her head's still pretty low after remembering all of that, though she lifts it back up at the touch to her shoulders. To be honest, Mesprit's feeling rather surprised by his reaction.]

You're still... proud of me? Even after this happened?
