I battled her Gengar when I went to the Viridian Gym. I lost, but we managed to put up a good fight. She was the temporary gym leader while they were looking for a permanent one.

She is part of the Elite Four.

It seems pretty clean to me! But uh...I haven't seen a lot of wild pokemon since I got here.
