[[Cynthia is once again sitting with Garchomp, continuing to peruse her book of legends, when she notices the dark shape flying over her.]]

...what do you think that is, Garchomp?

[[Then she realises that no, it isn't a strange pokemon, when it suddenly splits into two...and one half starts falling.]]

and done~

[[Well. Cynthia immediately springs into action, leaping up and pointing at the falling person.]]

Garchomp, quickly!

[[Before the words are even out of her mouth, Garchomp is in the air, racing over to her target. When she sees who it is, however, she glares for a few moments, following her down, before grumpily attempting to snatch her out of mid-air.]]

Kya-

[Jupiter gets grabbed by Garchomp and scowls angrily. And she attempts something crazier still, turning to her Crobat, who by the way is now flying right behind Garchomp.]

Confuse Ray!

[[Now that they're a bit closer, Cynthia can see what's going on.]]

W....what?! You're crazy!

[[She flings another pokeball, and out pops Togekiss, who also zooms up into the fray, blocking the Confuse Ray so Garchomp can safely get back down to the ground with her unhappy passenger.]]

[Jupiter takes a deep breath.]

So. Not only do you enjoy nullifying people's efforts to improve the state of the world, but you also apparently have a policy of disrupting people's training sessions. Why did you become the Champion, again?

[landsharkchamp]

[[The now confused Togekiss is zooming happily off towards the forest, and Cynthia quickly indicates that Garchomp should go and fetch him, before marching furiously up to Jupiter.]]

Are you completely out of your mind?! What on earth were you thinking, getting your Crobat to try and confuse Garchomp?! She could have killed you!!

[She shrugs breezily.]

I've gotten out of worse situations.

[[Cynthia just stares at the ground for a moment, rubbing her temples, while Garchomp reappears, dragging a squealing Togekiss, who is promptly returned to his pokeball. Garchomp, however, just stands behind her trainer, glaring.]]

...the point is not to get yourself into them.

[Crobat appears right above Jupiter, glaring back at Garchomp.]

[[Cynthia just sighs, while Garchomp vigourously attempts to out-glare Crobat.]]

Well I can't see how tossing yourself through the air is supposed to help your pokemon improve their battling skills. They'd be far too focused on your welfare to be able to properly concentrate on their technique.

So really, it's quite a pointless exercise.

Humph! I've studied gymnastics and acrobatics all my life. The stunt I was going to pull is an easy one.

In case you haven't realized it yet, I was training myself, not my Pokémon.

[[Cynthia just sighs again.]]

Suit yourself! Forgive me for being concerned.

[Jupiter turns and looks like she's about to walk away, but then she remembers her promise to Mars. ... And the warning from her leader, admonishing her never to fulfill that promise. Ah, sooner or later, it would have come down to that. Who is she going to choose? The emotionless, distant leader that she trusts blindly, but that she failed to establish a connection with before it was too late, or her only true friend who has always been at her side?

Eerily slow, Jupiter turns to face Cynthia again and stares at her, her smile manic and her eyes wide with insanity and thirst for revenge.]

[[It's going to take a lot more than a creepy stare to get the Champion nervous.]]

[Way to go and almost steal her very first line in game canon D: Now for some fourth-wall-breaking reason, she's even angrier at you, Cynthia.]

Oh! How nice of you to remind me. Now that you mention it, yes, there is something I want. But let's play a game, shall we? I want you to guess what that something is!

[[Cynthia is just. fabulous like that. Speaking of which, she's just...going to continue to give you a weird look, Garchomp still glaring behind her.]]
