[Emerging from the darkness of the woods is a strange, foreign creature. It's approximately 5'3", and while it first emerged walking on all fours, it raises onto its hind legs and carries a ball of flame in its paw

Cyrus has had the common sense to not directly approach it, at the very least; he knows better than to immediately approach anything of this nature that he doesn't recognize, and he's grateful for his distance once the flames make themselves apparent.
The island has its ways of introducing any number of oddities, but he doesn't recall any of them taking the form of some sort of living creature like this; even from this distance Cyrus can tell that it's clearly a Pokemon, though it definitely isn't anything that he's encountered before. And he would remember it if he had - though he can't say why, there's an odd sense of foreboding surrounding the thing.
Morbid curiosity draws him closer after a while - common sense dictates to stay away from it, but at the same time, keeping an eye on the thing might be good. At least to get some idea of what it does...
He doesn't seem to realize that he might be closing the proximity gap entirely too much until the action has already been done; he backs off - he is dealing with

[Oh, it notices him, but it's not until he approaches close enough that it whirls around, grinning eerily and chuckling a bit.]
Keh heh heh heh...
[There's a sudden rush of darkness, blanking out the vision like the blink of an eye. When it dissipates, Cyrus will find himself in what looks like a city - completely devoid of color and utterly silent save for the simple hustle of papers, walking and cars. No voices, no construction, no animals, simply silence as the vague, gray figures of people walk through the streets.]
[The figures take notice, and the more they do, the more they tip their hats or nod their heads in what seems to be a sign of respect. As they pass, it becomes obvious that the only color is the slight tinge of flesh color present in the people's skin, though it is still entirely too pale. After a moment, a young woman likely only twenty four stops, bowing stoically at Cyrus.]
My lord... welcome home.
[From behind her peeks out a little girl who was likely only five years old - timid, fearful, but looking up at Cyrus with her brilliant, beautiful green eyes that shone against the pale, gray contrast of this world. In her shining brown hair were two red ribbons, tangled up in the mess of her hair.]
Mommy... is that god?
[A smile, completely devoid of emotion, a harsh and frightening contrast to the child's emotion, touches the woman's fair but soulless face.]
That's right, Abigail. Say hello to Lord Cyrus like a proper girl.
[Thorton isn't exactly trying to hide himself, his data-analyzing machine raised to try and read the odd Pokemon before him.]
Hmm... it seems to be broken. I can't get a reading. I've never seen a Pokemon like this, therefore I'm 100% sure it must be new. Identifying it's region is proving to be a difficult task. My, I'm intrigued. Could it be a new evolution?
These ominous skies seem to be because of it's presence as well, truly bone-chilling, I'm already getting the shivers. Maybe that should be all for today.
[It takes note of Thorton, smirking a bit. The darkness withdraws, and the fire fades away, though rather than simmering out like a real fire actually would, it simply disappears as a ghostly image would.]
[Oh, it's never assaulted a legendary before. This will be good...
The darkness takes over, as if a cloth had been pulled over one's eyes, and then taken away... revealing none other than a temple that is all too familiar.]
[As the image becomes more clear, Coza will find himself at his peak - the very state he had been in under worship. The chorus of voices singing praise to him echoed through the forests and valleys, and the city shone with beauty.]

It should look very, very familiar. It's that icy landscape that has haunted your dreams for years on end...]

[It grins at Thorton, lowering back to its four legs and stalking a little closer.]

[Okay, Coza is freaked out. This place should be little more than rubble!]
W-where'd the Island go?!
