[Cyrus has been avoiding the CMA lately; there's far too much activity there, on the part of both the island and its inhabitants. The sea has been calming in the past, the beach proving a decent retreat when his visits there aren't interrupted by sudden arrivals of individuals he would rather not deal with; though he's immediately aware that he isn't going to be alone when he arrives now, the other individual there seems calm as opposed to irrationally confused.

Not a new arrival, then; perhaps this will be tolerable.

Though he wanders closer to the water, he keeps his distance from both the soft break of the waves against the shore and the person fishing in the shallows; before long, he finds himself observing, though he does so without comment.]

On the contrary, the ocean is an ever changing beast. But it takes a certain type of enlightenment to see that.

...there isn't much to compare it to. Considering the other alternatives on this island seem to be either overly populated by those that inhabit this place, or under constant threat of being set ablaze...

I wouldn't consider myself to be entirely unimpressed by it...it simply isn't something I think about very often.

I suppose it can be considered an effect of being raised close to the ocean...some become enamored with it. Others simply become accustomed to its presence. As such, I am neither impressed nor unimpressed...it's simply something that has always existed.

[Congratulations, Archie, you've caught him off-balance. Between this and the layers, Cyrus is going to have a bit of an uncoordinated moment, considering he's now rather wet.

He's also a bit less than pleased. And cold...let's not forget cold. And not relinquishing that hold he's managed to get on your arm as you felt the need to shove him into the water.

The grab was a bit of an instinctive reaction, but like hell is he going down alone.]
