"Flaafy fla flyr aaf fy flafyl fflflaf FLAAFA."
I demand an explanation for this BULLSHIT.

At least Rivai has pants.

Dawn looked up, blue eyes locked on Rivai as he randomly chewed some grass. That reminded her, she hadn't eaten anything since the yesterday at her little picnic. As if on cue, her stomach grumbled and she blushed slightly.

She looked around for something to eat (that wasn't grass) and noticed a berry bush nearby. Dawn pulled a Leppa berry out of the bush, looked over it for a moment before timidly taking a bite. That.. actually tasted pretty good as a Pokemon. She listened to Rivai speak, then smiled weirdly, which still looked really awkward on an Absol's face.

"Cyrus is Cyrus." Dawn said simply, "Its kind of hard not to be affected by him, you know?" She paused, "No I guess you wouldn't, you joined 'for the lulz' right? So you probably wouldn't care about Cyrus." She took another bite of her berry. "To be honest, I don't know what I'm feeling when it comes to Cyrus anymore. First I was in awe of him, then I was afraid of him, after that I started to pity him a little.. and now." She shook her head, as if trying to wipe Cyrus from her thoughts. "Its nothing."

He was certain whatever Dawn was was a carnivore. That made him a bit uneasy, but he was sure he'd be able to put up a defense if she ever attacked him for some reason. Bop her on the head, just like that weasel song or whatever. That light's gotta be hard, you know.

Rivai glanced at the berry bush. He'd probably have some of those too. Later, though.
And...it was rather weird seeing an Absol smile. It actually looked a bit scary. His wool bristled and sparked for a moment. An instinctual reaction.

"Oh, things never quite go your way," he said. "I joined with the intention of breaking as much shit as possible, but Cyrus does this weird thing were he hooks you like a fish, only with words, so for a while, for a few days I really did believe in his dream, girl."
He paused, listening to the rest of what Dawn had to say. It was weird, how they kept having these little one-on-one chat sessions. They were supposed to be enemies, right? Champion vs. the criminal?

"Pity?" if he had eyebrows they would have shot up. Rivai stood and waved his arms around for a moment. "I can understand awe and fear, girl, I mean he can get a little too close and creepy sometimes, but pity?"
He flumped back to the ground in his rubbery little sheep body.
"That's twisted."
Rivai was actually impressed with Dawn somehow. He wasn't able to explain it, but he was.
God. People.
"We're so retarded."
He let out a little laugh, loving the world's logic.

Dawn laughed suddenly, "Twisted huh? Maybe I am, just a little." Finishing off the berry she noticed her legs weren't in pain as much anymore and she tried stretching them out a little, "I have even found myself wondering what his world would have been like you know.."

She glanced away, "If he had succeeded." She shook her head, the scythe making a slight swishing noise as it moved. "Not exactly a proper way of thinking for a Champion." Then again, she hasn't acted much like a Champion since she gained the position.

What his world...
Rivai pulled up another handful of grass.
"Everyone has. I think that's why Saturn joined in the first place. Everyone wants to know. Curiosity."
He chewed and swallowed, fluffing his wool again, but at seeing the scythe actually move he leaned back.
"...I'm really glad we met first, girl. I feel in debt to you, and that's something no one has heard from Rivai Waites in years, otherwise I'd probably be throwin' you around by your skirt and harassing the daylights out of you."
He stood up.
"Champions aren't supposed to act any one way - the public wants to be surprised by the real them."
He actually had no idea what he was talking about but he figured he would make her feel a bit better that, at least he wasn't expecting her to act a certain way.

Dawn glanced at Rivai, looking a little happier, "You really think so?"

A surprised look passed over her face for a moment "In debt to me? What for?" and then she smiled, but it looked better then before, even on the Absol face, maybe because it was a genuine smile, "I am.. glad I met you too Rivai." As bizarre as Rivai was sometimes, it was nice.. just having someone to talk to on this island.

[This topic is like made of 'aww.' And hey, should this end soon? I mean I know I keep asking that, but I can never figure out when thing should start to wrap up.]

"Yeah," again he tried to sit back but ended up falling over.
God. This wool. And the tail, ow, pinned, hurty---!
He rolled over onto his side and pushing himself up, shaking for a moment and making a weird trilling noise.
"Well, you should never act how people expect anyway. That takes all the fun out of life. Lookit me, I'm a silly jerk of an asshole to everyone but you and Commander Mars and if they saw me now it'd just shock the hell outta everyone. Given that they'd..."
He trailed off.
"Ignore my rubber sheep exterior."

In debt...that was something he also couldn't understand. Rivai shook his head.
"I don't know, girl. I just feel like I gotta be nice to you, even though it goes against every cell in my body."
He shrugged and flashed as much of a smirk as a sheep could manage. Truth was, he didn't know how to reply to that, or if he even should. That was a first. Someone was glad to have met him...

((ooc: Don't worry, me neither. xD Do you want me to end it? I guess I gotta let Dawn's Pokemon find her sometime or other.))

Dawn chuckled a little, "Yeah, I guess you're right." She looked a lot happier now.

[Sure, go ahead and end it.]

This day was really weird. Aside from his state of self, he actually felt good that he'd made her happy.
Which wasn't like Rivai at all.
He stood up, trying to suppress an urge of great violence.
He wanted to kick her. He wanted to hurt her. Just a bit. Just enough for him to run away and go back to being a jerk, the person nobody was glad to have met. But he couldn't, not in this body. He couldn't do anything and it was killing him.

"I think you should go away, Dawn," Rivai said, as clearly as he could.

She smiled sadly, not looking affronted one bit and stood up, "Alright. It was nice talking to you again Rivai." And with that, she ran off back to her cottage. Her Pokemon must be worried sick, and she can't avoid them forever.
