On the beach today is Red, his charizard Eleanor, three charmander and four turtwigs.  Red's on his back, tickling and playing with the babies, snuggling contently.

[Might as well roam around . . . since Mesprit senses something about today . . . She sees Eleanor first and waves happily.]

Ah, hi there, Eleanor! It's been a while! [And now she notices Red and the babies.] Hey, Red! Oh, the eggs hatched! They're all so cute! [She smiles at the babies . . . but she's very curious about them. She's never really been close to baby Pokemon before, so she's not getting too close.]

They certainly are! Hahah, there's only one girl in the whole bunch, and it's one of the cute little turtwigs.

Ah, I see! [Mesprit gulps nervously, holding her palms to her chest. This is strange for her, to be nervous around Pokemon . . . but it's probably the fact that they're babies that makes her the most nervous.] Um, is it alright for me to meet them all? I-I've never been so close to baby Pokemon before . . . I'm feeling a little nervous . . . and I don't want to hurt them . . .

Hahah, don't worry, they'll be fine. If anything, you have to be careful to avoid the turtwigs' love bites or the charmanders' flames.

Well, okay then! I'll try to be careful!

[Mesprit gathers her courage and gets a little bit closer. She lowers a hand to the little ones, hoping for some acceptance from them. There's a smile in there too, by the way.] Um, . . . hello, little ones . . . It's very nice to meet you!

[reds_babies]

[The babies look up at Eleanor first, waiting for her to look at Mespirit before giving them a brief nod.

You now has charmanders trying to climb up your leg for attention.]

[Mesprit has never seen this Pokemon before . . . but they feel warm and seem nice enough. She giggles at the touch - those claws aren't too bad quite yet - and sits on the ground, letting the fire babies get all of her attention. Yeah, she's being careful about those flames . . . at least now she figured out these orange Pokemon babies are Charmander babies.

Now, she tries a bit of telepathy here . . .]
