[People, Pokemon, and Legendaries of note aren't the only ones that the Island likes to pluck from their home realities: it kidnaps plenty of normal Pokemon too, so Trainers and Champions alike have something to grind for experience on. Today's new arrivals all have two things in common. First, they are all unevolved cats. Second, they are all the toughest, meanest alleycats that the Pokemon multiverse has to offer.
There are streetwise Glameow with kinks in their tails. Sweet little con artist Skitty that will rub your ankles and shamelessly steal food from your hands. Thug Purrloin that are strutting around the streets like they own the place. Meowth are wasting no time in starting up new hoards of round, shiny objects. They are scruffy. They are mangy. They are here to keep you up at night with their yowling and fighting and to root through the garbage cans that you thought were safe.
Pete, for one, doesn't seem to mind. As soon as he saw the influx of so many stray cats, he immediately ducked back into his apartment for some tuna and leftovers from the fridge that are going to go bad soon. He's quickly surrounded by a mixed bunch of Meowth from Celadon (who recognize him as That Guy With The Food and All The Koffing) and a few brave strangers from other Regions. They're all making their interest in the food he has loudly known. He expertly manages to get the plates set out in a way that there won' be too much bullying and fighting over them going on. A few of his Koffing are floating about, bouncing off of each other and being their generally ineffectual selves.]
Hey now, hey now. There's 'nough for all of you mangy bastards. Move off now, let the little guys have some. [Pete nudges a particularly bossy Purrloin out of the way and is rewarded for his efforts with a fresh set of scratches on the offending arm. He already has the start of an excellent collection of them, but it doesn't seem to bother him any.] Yeah, screw you too. Rotten thing.
