In which a sense is lost.

[The boy had been getting used to the island, admittedly, what with all of its quirks. He was curious by nature, almost to a fault- it was so rude to poke into other people's business, you silly boy!- and it carried him into the nooks and crannies of the space he had been given to explore.

In this instance, it was the CMA and outlying areas.

It was, however, approximately a week ago when the boy had started to notice that... Well, his eyes were getting blurry. He'd never had too much trouble seeing before and dismissed it as lack of sleep, trying to adjust his schedule to allow for more time. When that failed and his vision seemed to only worsen was when he began to show... No, not worry! Never worry. ... Concern. Yes, he was concerned. That's all. Ahahahh...

He struggled to play his concern off as nothing to his Pokémon, but they noticed the increase in squinting, the slight stumbles, finally the reluctance to leave their sides.

Gio woke one day and opened his eyes and saw nothing. Not even the specks of light from distraught nerves firing, it was nothing. Blackness. An absence of light.

... Hmph. Just... Just a slight setback! He would just have to stay very close to Rhyhorn and Nidorino, of course!

Woe be to the person that crosses their path.]
