[The night is fresh, the sky is littered with countless stars, the Hoothoots and Noctowls are making their presences known with their cries, the Kricketots and Kricketunes are chirping contently and to top it off there is a sparkly silver and white striped mist enveloping the Island's entirety and getting into EVERY BUILDING POSSIBLE.

Oh hang up this is Awesome Island and on a scale of one to ten it would reach nine billion in insanity. Okay so anyways.
The mist doesn't linger for long; perhaps three minutes tops? It then chooses to dissappear by lifting suddenly skywards, twisting together into a tornado that spins and spins and spins until wham! No more. How... interesting? Good job, island? Were you bored or something? Go find your kitten.
Wait, why are the Noctowls suddenly flying into trees and falling off their branches while the Kricketunes carry on normally?

Whether your character gets effected or not is entirely your choice and if they are, said effect doesn't have to be straight away. It can be any time between now and next Sunday, for as long as desired. Likewise with the sense lost; from the likes of sight and sound to the less obvious such as balance and humour... go nuts.
