[Island, you are just the kindest. You provide for your resident's interests so skillfully. This mountain of broken technology and books...it is exquisite.

Ho-oh has set himself down on the edge of the pile, poring through these books of SCIENCE with huge eyes and an absolutely fascinated expression. Nearby, a Quilava amuses itself by trying to ( Read more... )

[He's looking up at the pieces of metal that Pidgey pokemon are perched atop of. This is a fairly interesting sight even though he's not very into machinery or science books. ]

What's this about?

[What truly brought him over was your colorful design. But he won't admit or make light of that. In fact, he'll be directing his eyes back towards the pieces of metal to enforce he is not staring at your pretty colors. :|]

Huh?

[give him a second to look up from WORDS and register "oh hey that's a person"]

Oh, um, I'm not really sure. I just found...all of this here.

[yes Ho-oh that's why you've spent an hour reading things

One of the Pidgey flutters down to the ground by Amati's feet, staring at him for a moment before pecking at the ground. The second ruffles up and follows it.

You now have two fat birds milling around you, waiting for food.]

[Before he could make any action, whether it'd be continuing conversation or examining the old machinery... the pidgey get in his way. (not that he minds.) He has both berries and poffins, but decides to hand out sitrus berries to them. Poffins aren't found in the wild so it's the better choice.]

I most certainly do no want wild visitors at my home again...

[He says this humorously, though.]

Aha...they're not wild, exactly. I mean, they're not really mine, but they're kind of...tame, I guess.

[kururururururu peck peck peck

after they finish the berry, they hop back to the scrap pile, puffing up their feathers and trotting around aimlessly.]

Do they follow you around? I have...something like that myself. Swarm of combeee.

They live in my garden back home, and I feed them.

[Nod.] They're in my garden as well, except it's here on the Island. Most notably a cluster of Combee and a Vespiquen.

It really was for a long while before I had them relocate. Now they're back to just visiting in smaller numbers. Like guards to their queen.

Huh.

[I should put my book down shouldn't I]

What's your garden like?
