Belated reflecting on our 2nd anniversary

[Paul's at the beach again, but he isn't training is Pokemon or anything. He's sitting by the shoreline with Torterra chilling with him on the left side and Weavile on the right. Evidently they've been sitting there for several hours, with Paul's cheeks looking pretty red even though he was smart enough to use sunscreen at the beginning of the day

[Not quite Green, but his very distinct Umbreon, with it's one whited out eye. She'll just trot on up with her ears perked, guess she heard what was going on and sniffed you out.]

[Weavile's quick to notice Umbreon's presence, which Paul notices Weavile noticing, and... yeah, we recognize you, girl.]

Ah... Umbreon. Green's not too far away, is he?

[Umbreon will just coo, rubbing itself against your legs to look up with that one red, one white eye-- maybe she was just sent to check up on you? Green hasn't exactly been out and about for a while]

[And Paul will be nice and give you many pettings, Umbreon!]

Ah... he's probably busy, right? Being a doctor and a real father now...

[Umbreon will just purr and give happy Umbree~ sounds before perking up it's tail to shake. Looks like it's got a letter tied to it! So classy, Green.]

[He's taking the letter either way.]

[She won't fuss, so it's obviously for you. As if what you'd read wouldn't make it abundantly clear:

Hey, haven't been out and about for a while, stop by the clinic if you get a chance. I miss my son [some obnoxiously scribbled heart, one guess at the culprit] even if you are a total punk.

P.S. And talk to your 'mom'. He's getting fussy, kiddo.

It's signed in a wistful signature befitting any real doctor and there's also another drawing. It may be of Umbreon or it might be a rabbit-- it's hard to tell-- but there's a very wobbly L under it]

... Hm. They actually miss me.

[He'll look at the sunset on more brief time before looking to Weavile and Torterra, who both look like they understand.]

We've been here all day... how about we pay the family a visit?

[Yup, no objections here, so Paul returns Torterra and Weavile back to their Pokeballs before going back to Umbreon to give her another pet.]

[a um-umbree! little bark at you, she'll escort you back to the clinic since that's where you seem to be headed. She's quite over protective these days, after all.]

[Paul secretly enjoys Umbreon being protective of him, he really feels like he's part of the family! He makes it to the clinic and lets himself in...]

Green...? Ash?

[Umbreon will disappear into the darkness of the clinic once it's open, clearly fetching her master. After a moment and something along the lines of 'Go the fuck to sleep, sweety' the doctor's heading down the stairs to flip on the lights]

Exhausting and mundane... [a wide smile]

... I couldn't be happier. You look like you're in a good mood for once. [things are normal seeming, he gets to be a real Dad

Well, I've followed your advice. I've officially been here two years now... high time that I stop letting the past dictate my life.

How yah managing that? [he'll pull up a stool for you to sit on, him flopping himself to sit back on one of those many clinic beds. Umbreon soon jumping up to settle on his lap for pets]

I had one last thing that was connected to that Silver... I had my Pokemon destroy it, and I promised them this year would be different... in a good way.
