This Gyarados, despite its breed, was not a dangerous Pokemon usually. It just wasn't in this specific Gyarados' nature. But now, seeing the commander that almost destroyed its home of Lake Valor, its whole demeanor changed. It lowered its head slightly, curling its body a little like it was about to attack.
Now a little mark on Gyarados' back was visible, this scar that was obtained from the impact of the bomb explosion back when it had been a tiny Magikarp. The scar had been small originally, but had grown with its own evolution. And with the Gyarados' growth, the scar had shaped and difigured slightly. As if by some sort of cruel fate, the Gyarados' scar now looked almost identical to the Team Galactic symbol.
Dawn felt the stir in her Pokemon and gave it a small glance. Dawn and her Pokemon team had been through a lot together, and it had come to a point where words need not be spoken between them anymore. That one glance from its trainer, and the Gyarados, despite its anger, returned to it original uncurled pose, towering above the humans.
Dawn remained silent as Saturn spoke. So, this grunt wasn't from her world she was guessing. But she saw the recognition in Saturn's eyes when she sent out her Gyarados. He was. This island got so confusing at times, she wasn't sure who was from her world and who wasn't.
