Panels for the lose

[New member here! I just joined today, as the only human antagonist so far. Well, here goes my first post! I write in the standard literature format, as you can tell, with, uh, far longer posts then any of you so far, and I feel a bit strange for writing so much when you all write so little, but I hope you don't mind. Oh, and since I won't be ( Read more... )

[The thread hasn't died, really. I was just waiting for James to post, though I suppose we could go ahead without him...
To brave_chris: You're actually doing okay, for not being used to this style.]

Dawn's reaction to Crystal was unexpected, but very much pleased. Good to see all that not every do-gooder got along in the world. He watched Crystal send out the Unown, beginning to realize that these may not be the right people to fight, before he turned his attention back to Saturn, who, he supposed, wasn't that happy. That was fine.

Actually, no, it was weird that the commander wasn't smiling. In fact, this entire situation was bad, and he hated it, and Rivai took a deep breath and relaxed. He held up his hands in a gesture of defeat, and decided, just for once, to play it cool.

"Look," he said, shooting Dawn a glare at her words and taking another deep shaky breath to keep himself from exploding in anger, "I don't know how I got here. I just stepped on a warp panel, like always, and expected it to take me to the headquarters kitchen, like always, but that didn't happen."

He took a step forward, in all of their general directions, trying to appear as casual as possible.

"I just want some answers, all right? This," he knelt down and swiped up a convenient leaf, which had been blown from a nearby oak tree.

"This," he repeated, waggling the leaf at them, "I haven't seen this gradient before. I don't even know what to call it, the...filling it has..."
Rivai dropped the leaf, certain he wasn't making any sense at all.
"And, and everything is so smooth! Watch, look how it fell, not a panel skipped!"

He froze, feeling a shadow fall over him. Slight dread gripped his mind, and he looked up...
And up...
And...
Well, Rivai didn't know whether to be impressed or scared. He stood there looking at the Gyarados rather impolitely, momentary shock paralyzing his mind.

"Well I'm sorry if I seem rather uncooperative at the moment, last time I saw a Team Galactic member, you guys almost destoryed my world!" Dawn's voice was strained as she spoke. The idea that this specific grunt wasn't from her world hadn't hit her yet.

Her eyes narrowed more when he started speaking again. What was this grunt babbling about? All Galactic grunts were a little weird, true, it seemed to come with the job description, but this one seemed to be more bizarre then usual.

The Gyarados, as it had not been given an order yet, remained still, and just stared down at the grunt below it.

((ooc: LMAO. Is he wondering why this universe is not.. manga like?))

{Yep, poor Rivai. I don't know, since not much of Saturn has been revealed, and I don't read the manga (because I don't have it. T-T)... So, my Saturn here's a little more anime based. Bulbapedia isn't too helpful either... :D}

Saturn looked up, knowing the girl named Dawn would send out her Pokemon by instinct. Wasn't it typical? The girl who had watched Boss Cyrus unleash his power by capturing the trio, and using the Red Chain to get hold of Dialga and Palkia, the controllers of Time and Space respectively. Of course, he, as a commander of Team Galactic, had played his part by draining the water out of Lake Valor, which left those...Magikarp... in the lake, which was... disturbing indeed. Of course, he had lost, but he was not going to comment about the battle and what not. He only had a simple mindset: Get in, complete his mission, exit smoothly and return to listening to Cyrus' orders.

Oh, her Gyarados. Saturn had once been in combat with that large Dragon-like Atrocious Pokemon. Its moves were not that hard to know, a bit of Dragon-types, elemental fangs... And water-type attacks, typical Gyarados.

Perhaps it was time for the superior to step in. The grunt's foolish words and actions were a total disgrace. Of course, so was helping the good guys, but hey, even evil had a small bit of good in them, no matter what. But like he'd said, he'd rather not think about what had already happened.

'This, I presume, you do not have any idea,' he started, withdrawing the pocket sized book from his... well, pocket, flipping through the pages before showing it to Rivai, 'This is what I presume you're from?'

He laughed, picking up the leaf again, examining it with his cobalt blue eyes. Holding it by the stem, he dangled it carelessly in the air, 'This is the real world fool. You, apparently, are from this sort of book, better known as "manga". How you have arrived here, I have absolutely no idea, even though I am still the Commander of Team Galactic.'

He looked back up at the Gyarados, showing no apparent signs of fear at the large blue Pokemon.

{Haha, freakishly long post for no reason. :D I usually RP in this style, but for this dressing room I use what.. they usually use. ^^}
