[New member here! I just joined today, as the only human antagonist so far. Well, here goes my first post! I write in the standard literature format, as you can tell, with, uh, far longer posts then any of you so far, and I feel a bit strange for writing so much when you all write so little, but I hope you don't mind. Oh, and since I won't be ( Read more... )

[Okay, just as a note, I'm not going to reply to each of you individually - the thread will avoid clutter that way.]

The first person he noticed was James, and Rivai slammed his fist onto the briefcase and looked sharply up at him.

"Freak off, blind man!" he shouted, gesturing to his uniform and standing up, "can't you see the insigni---"
He saw another person, and his words caught in his throat. Expression collapsed, his eyes widened, and he stared very hard. This couldn't be...oh, walking towards him now. Rivai tensed slightly. His brow furrowed, eyes locked on his superior. There was something very different about Saturn.
Very wrong, in a way that appeared as a tingling on the back of his neck, made him a bit nervous.

No, no, this entire place was messed up! There hadn't been any dramatic speed lines when he had slammed his fist onto the briefcase. Sure, that had hurt, but it worried him. No speed lines...next thing you know, people won't become considerably smaller and less distinct as they run away...

Another noise! Finally the grunt looked away from his superior, whipped his head and saw Dawn. He didn't recognize her, even from his world, but her stance and action was universal. Rivai kneeled and unhitched the briefcase, pulled out two PokéBalls, and snapped it shut. He stood up and smirked.

"Hey kid," he called in what was a much louder voice than necessary, tossing one of the Pokéballs up and down in his hand, "I haven't a clue as to what the hell's going on, but when I win y---"
He caught the ball and let out a snarl of confusion at the arrival of Crystal.

He watched her send out the Typhlosion. He looked back and forth between the two Trainers, and, at Crystal's words, cocked his head to the side and smirked.

"That's a silly thing for you to say, girl!"
He resumed tossing one of the Pokéballs up and down in his hand. He took a step forward...
"Because, the way I see it..."
And another...
"Two against one isn't proper conduct! It's what you strive for, correct? Justice in the world?"
Rivai stopped and placed a hand on his hip, looking very arrogant, which he rather was most of the time.
"Here's something for you to think about, sweethearts. Let's say that, due to my uniform, you instantly classify me as a bad person worthy of jail, because everyone knows that clothes are everything that calculates them."
He paused, caught the Pokéball and whirled around, throwing his hands up in disgust.
"HYPOCRITES!"

Rivai stomped back to the briefcase and opened it, put the PokéBalls back inside and shut it again, took hold of it, stood up, and flashed a random smile at them all.

[Wow, I didn't mean for this to be so long! Sorry for the length!]

Dawn spun around to face Crystal, "Hey, you don't have to get involved with this-!" but then she spotted the grunt take out his pokeballs. She kept her own hand tightly around Gyarados' pokeball, not releasing him until she saw attacking Pokemon. She had quick reflexes, she could send her Gyarados out in time if his Pokemon attacked.

Dawn's eyes narrowed when she heard the grunt speak. A slight smirk crossed her features, and she lifted her arms shrugging slightly, "Perhaps you're right.. bad may not be the right word to describe you grunts. How about ignorant then?"

{ooc: It's strange how Saturn has a female Toxicroak and Male Kadabra... So I guess refer to Saturn as a female. :D Besides, why would they have two females and a male commander...?}

Urgh, this was so not a speech rally!

She practically stopped moving, seeing the goofy expression on her suboordinate, made her wonder why Team Galactic stooped so low as to hiring such... pathetic people. Saturn redirected her attention to Dawn, seeing the Champion with her "I-hate-Team-Galactic-I'm-going-to-pwn-them" kind of face, as she paused, unsure of whether to confront them or not. Team Galactic only worked in a hit-and-run way, and yet... This grunt seemed to be breaking the tradition, and she wasn't impressed about it.

She tensed, ignoring what Dawn had said. 'Silly?' she thought, as her eyes followed the movement of his PokéBalls.

Crystal ran up to, and stood next to Dawn.
You can never know with these grunts, but she decided to call back her Typhlosion and instead call out the Unown. It's smaller, but stronger and in case he decided to attack, Unown could hold him down.

[sorry, short]
