Yes, the Island has a birthday, May the 5th. On this day three years ago Giratina created it and used it to start to trap people in Big Brother stylee. Not that the Island minds because it loves everyone. Except for Team Rocket yet exceptions, it'll happen for today.
Whether you wanted to come or not, you're at the Lake WTF area by force; after all the Island did say that everyone is coming down. Balloons drizzle from the sky and ticker tape will occasionally shoot from the ground while near to the Six O'Clock pier stands a hundred foot tall cake free for people to take as many slices as desired RELAX IT WON'T COLLAPSE. Each slice has a totally different flavour from the basic to the extreme. Likewise with the highly alcoholic punch.
Also at the same pier, close to where the Ferris Wheel is, is something completely new. A ROLLERCOASTER!!1
It's a seated one, this rollercoaster. It will take two or four at one given time and the course takes you through and above the stretch of trees behind the lake. Once at the beach where all the shops and other entertainment stand, cue AVERYQUICKDECUPLELOOPTHELOOP before the track takes you backwards to the starting point at triple the speed.
The Island would like to thank both Soi and ThunDURRus for this inspiration. It even does so with the flashing banner by the start of the ride, plain for everyone to see.
