[The flamboyant, blue-haired Count is standing somewhere smack in the middle of Azimuth Plain. He seems to have no Pokémon out whatsover, not even Fang, his trusty Zangoose, or Raymond, the newborn Zangoose-morphing baby that he's been parading around the Island. He is, however, carrying five Poké Balls, as opposed to the usual six, and his sword. ( Read more... )

[Its doubtful Plassica is the person he's looking for, but her Charmander looks in his general direction which catches her attention. As she turns around, you can see she's holding her gohei.]

Good morning, sir.

[Ah, well, that will certainly relieve Edmond of some of that tension... Is that a traditional Japanese tool? ... all traditional things are awesome in Edmond's book. And that Charmander? Edmond's wife has a Charmander, just like that one... It makes Edmond smile. He puts a hand over his chest.]

Good morning. How may I help you?

Ah, I'm just reading through a few notes. I just started using this gohei before I ended up on this island. Are you waiting for someone?

[She has a small notepad with instructions on it in her other hand, which she's trying to study from.]

I am, in fact.

[And just to be safe, he looks around again. But he quickly refocuses - he's meeting someone new! ... And to think of it, this is someone that the dangerous person Edmond is waiting for could potentially want to hurt. Edmond has to stay close to her.]

Allow me to introduce myself - I am Count Edmond Valerius Flamberge, from Lavaridge Town. And you are... ?

I'm simply known as Plassica, a trainer from Lavender Town who used to challenge the gyms.

[She slides the notepad back into her bag as she looks to the side a bit...]

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Plassica.

"Used to"...? Ah, I'm assuming you outgrew that. That is admirable. I am quite perplexed by those who insist on being wandering Pokémon trainers without finding any other occupation.

In ways, I have...but, some of which were forced on me.

[She thinks for a moment as she looks at her Charmander.]

[A small, embarrassed laugh.]

Well, I don't want to go reviving bad memories for you. Do tell me more about that wand you're carrying. What is it used for?

This gohei? I use it to help remove evil spirits or ghosts out of anyone.

No such thing. o.o Just reply when you can! I'm quite busy myself. eflamberge April 19 2011, 04:11:37 UTC
Ah, I see! So... you help people who are possessed by... [He looks strangely pensive as he chooses his words.] ... evil spirits.

A question. What if... one is possessed by a good spirit, but it's driving them to do cruel things?

I know that...maybe its outside of something a typical exorcist would do, but I would probably help them out too if only to bring the person a sense of sanity.

I see. What if that spirit is... the very God to whom we all owe our lives?

[Because, according to Edmond, that is what Groudon is.]

[She's intrigued by that statement. After all, nobody mentions the word "God" to her very often...]

That...I wouldn't have a clue what to do until the time comes.

It's happening to someone I know. I believe he has lost his mind because of it. But sometimes... sometimes I see a certain kind of... good in what he does. I can't say that I like him, but at the same time... I don't want anything bad to happen to him. I wonder, can you understand?

Hm...you have a friend you deeply care about then?

[He laughs a little at that, shaking his head.]

I do have a friend I deeply care about, but... it's not this possessed person, no. Though he shares his name, his title and, in part, his appearance.
