Or to be more precise, both pokemon are flying, and Platinum is either standing on one or the other as they fly at top speed or do figures, jumping from one to the other, dropping only to be caught before she hits the ground, sometimes jumping off at a few meters from the ground and rolling, only to be picked up a few seconds after she stands up...
Tl;dr: there is aerial training going on, and by the smile plastered on her face, she's having fun. She also took off parts of her uniform due to the warming weather and to blend in more. And there are no weapons to be seen, though the movements she does when dropping to the ground imply she usually does]
