I haven't read the books either but I like the main actress so I'll give it a go and see if I'll like it. At the moment I'm going through the 5 books Songs of Ice and Fire. I LOOOOVE them!

I've never heard of those, what are they about?

The first book is called Game of Thrones. It was made into a tv series. First season showed last year. Second season starts this Sunday. I can only recommend giving it a go.
It's an immense story about knights, kings & queens, dragons and lots and lots of scheming and fighting.

ohhh, why didn't you say Game of Thrones? that I know ;) I have the books, haven't been able to read 'em...

Cause it's only the first book that is called "Game of Thrones". The series is called Songs of Fire and Ice. You should give them a try. They are really good in my opinion!

ah...that does make some sense...man, I am so behind in reading, it is not even funny...oh crap...my sister is going to want to borrow my book for book club and I've read less than 100 pages of the 400 page book and she'll be here tomorrow...
