Good Morning Everyone :) I know I should be more thrilled with the rain that we're finally getting, but running coms is making me freaking crazy and I actually have a slightly amusing story about work, minus the fact that it forced me to do work from home last night. But before I get ahead of myself, a big
to diner - hope you have a lovely day at DisneyLand! If you'd like me to make you an icon gift, let me know :)

Round Ireland With a Fridge

I can sum this up in one word: idiotic. This book was like a bad variation on Seinfeld. It was just stupid. This guy makes a drunken bet that he can take a fridge around Ireland, hitch-hiking...I mean, really? A whole book about this? And God did he think he was funny...it was mildly amusing, but the fact of the matter was, it was just stupid. What a waste of a week's worth of reading...and this was my sister's book club pick...meh...

It had it's moments, but for the most part, it was just a waste of time. I mean, if you're bored and don't have anything better to read, it's written well enough, but it's just absurd. Yes, he did take a fridge around, but it was...well, it was like watching Superbad or a Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler movie, painfully stupid.

I think I'm still in a bad mood from this past weekend...oh, work story, like you care, right? I'm the Webmaster at work, which means almost anything that goes on the site has to go through me. She sent me a note saying she'd need to get some stuff up first-thing yesterday morning. Am I surprised I didn't get anything until after 2? No. So when she comes by at 4.15 (and at this point I should have left to go home) and panics about stuff, I'm like, no, you can not tell anyone else on our staff to stay late. She was trying to get someone else to stay. So I was like, no dice, my boss and I will monitor it and make sure it gets done in the evening. Well, wouldn't you know it, I get a call at home at 7. This woman goes to my desk, sees the contact list we have for our department, with my number on it, and calls me to tell me to get it up. I could not believe she had the audacity to do that...to go in someone's office, get their number and call them at home. I mean, who's checking their e-mail at 8 PM? I have a sinking feeling I'm going to hear about it too, since they were close to ready by 5.15, but I'm not staying all night because they can't get it together!

I'm in the land of frustration right now...taking names ;) hope you all are having a far less bracing day!
